Wow that's seriously powerful. The air time is huge. Seems it needs a lot of beefing up to be sent like that though. That wasn't a bad landing. I think the weight of these makes the landing very important, you can't get away with anything less than perfect.

Buddy of mine overshot one of our big jumps with either his K8S or O8S and flat landed the face of the jump. We heard this "ting" sound, it was his shock shafts literally exploding into 3-4 pieces! He got the M2C 7mm ones, don't think he's had issues since. You were airing that thing out nicely! Looked like the air/speed of a 6s kraton, until you realize it's actual size and distance! I just got a kraton exb 6s and could not be happier with it. I knew they were easier to drive than an outcast 6s... but wow, it's sooooo much nicer! Keep up the good work!

I'm just going to say it again... there's an appropriate use for each scale... it's physics... if you double the weight and double the lever arm, that's 4x the torque on any landing... I bought the outcast 8s just for the collection... but I won't send it off big jumps... it's broken a piece almost every run as it is... I prefer gas for 1:5 scales... and the old hsp frames and suspensions work fine... rugged and unsophisticated compared to the arrmas... but they don't break! At this large scale, size and tires and durability make the action awesome... you don't need all those fancy arrma parts... and you don't need to send it like an 1/8 scale... it doesn't even look as cool imo... the 1/5 scales look awesome tearing up massive terrain, going off natural land feature jumps, and imo making lots of petrol noise... when they're sent off huge jumps and they're made of plastic, they just look bloated and sound awful when they land, and they break every run... whereas i have dozens of hours through my gassers without any breakages at all...

I've been sending this car off these jumps since 2019 and it's the first time I've broken any plastic on this car. To me, breaking 2 plastic parts after 3 years of use and given how it's been used, I have no complaints. Even I forgot that this car has seen some heavy use and weights 14-15kg when it slams the ground, so these breakages are more wear & tear parts that needed replacing than actual "weak points". 😎

I've been sending this car off these jumps since 2019 and this is the first time I've broken anything on this car (aside from the bent chassis issue when it first released). And even so, this truck weighs about 14-15kg and is being sent 6-7 high and traveling at speed for about 20m or so before slamming back down to earth with intent. I only broke 2 plastic parts (one I had as spare, the other cost me $10), so to say "these cars break too often" seems a little unfair. Especially since it's the first time I've broken anything on it since release. Maybe other people break them more often, I don't know, but I have no complaints about this truck with the mods I've done to it so far. 😁

@@AussieRCPlayground I'm glad you had a generally positive experience. It just seems like every video I watch with one of these it ends with a breakage. It's usually arms or shocks but something always seems to break. That being said I have no personal experience so maybe I shouldn't judge.

People tend to forget that these are 1/5 scale rc cars, that weigh roughly 30lbs. They are going to break when get massive air with them. If you aren't constantly launching the 15 or more feet in the air all the time, they hold up just fine. I have ran the hell out of my is EXB. I have cracked two arms. The first one happened when I hit my fence at 30ish mph. The other happened after about 20 minutes of jumping it 15-20ft in the air.

I'm surprised it broke on that jump the X Max would have taken that hit all day. Armas Chassis imo is better but that's even debatable. Some favor the plastic over metal Since it does not bend. However what's not debatable is how well that Krayton handled that sandy track. I drive on the exact same kind of track here at home and I can hardly line that jump up with my x maxx or e revo. I'd say 50% of the time the traxxas are all over the track nearly spinning out trying to get enough power down out of the berms to line a jump like that up. Is it just the low wide stance of the Krayton that makes it handle so much better than the X Maxx? The e revo is More like to Krayton but even that truck seems to not handle quite as good.

I agree that the riders have priority, it is a bike track after all. However, you were driving when the track was empty! I try to remain polite in situations like that, but inside you know what I want to say to tools like that!

His complaint was that I was damaging the track, not that I was using an area intended for bikes. The guy was a total knob. I've been using this track for years and even council workers haven't said anything to me about using the track or that I've "damaged" it. He just wanted to be a hero in front of his kids on Christmas day. (This was filmed on Christmas day). 😁 And he wasn't even using the track, he was using the skatepark area next to the track. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Dude no joke your missing out on about 15-20 % power using that ESC rather than the Castle, even the Mm 8s let alone the 1/5 castle ESC. Hobbywing just doesn't handle what the Leopard can offer. Leopard is a crazy powerful motor. At least as good as Castle. Maybe as tough as TP.

Not to criticize it's still a mad as rig. Just thought if you want to see how amazing those leapords are you might want to "feed it more".

Not really looking to spend another $400 on a ESC at this stage (and that's if you can find one in Australia), so I'll stick the Hobbywing ESC for now. Interesting to know that the Castle ESC will perform better, so maybe one day I'll make the switch, but not something on my list at the moment.

@@AussieRCPlayground Even that one is awesome, beats any Hobbywing, and bit cheaper then the xl, 360 vs 450. But you get what you pay for. But like I said, yours is still a mad as rig. Those leapords are crazy powerful. I put the 4092 into my rave motor for a bit of fun but it was overkill, the torque was incredible. It's only 40ml thigh, but very long. Imo longer motors produce more torque than thicker ones. I think the only motor that might be more powerful is the TP motors, but you'd have to be wanting to be in speed competitions to be that hungry for max power lol. I think you probably have all the power you'll need. I'm just crazy obsessed with huge torque lol.
