I watched it we were devastating very pleased for ings getting two goals Bailey was superb and Watkins fot his persistence. Be under no illusions though next three games are super tough Newcastle away then Man United at home and Brighton away. We have to take it one step at a time and one game at a time. But refreshing to see us play with width too because for two long a narrow midfield has made it hard for us to press at all.

I was expecting nothing from that game but Danks pulled off a masterclass not going to lie. I've been saying for a long time we should play a 4-2-3-1 especially since we've got Kamara it just makes sense obviously now he's injured but we got Dendoncker to fill that void and he had a great game aswell. Was there again!! Fantastic. Every single Villa player and Sub played their hearts out for the whole game and gave 100% effort. It’s what we expect like any other clubs fan. So proud. Brentford we’re crap because we were so good. To me it’s proof that Gerrard wasn’t the man. Tactically not good enough and I think not a good man manager. Feeling dejected I was in a charity shop the other day and there was a brand new Villa mug on the shelf. I wasn't sure if fate was rubbing my nose in it or whether it was reminding me not to lose faith... Being the optimist I am I plumbed for the latter and bought it. Who's Aaron Danks- Superman ??????!!!!!!! Can't believe what the guy's done, and in so short a time When Bailey scored so quickly, I dropped the plate I was holding, I was so in shock. I was buzzing over Ings banging them in ( I really wanted him to get the hat trick). By Watkins's goal, I was jumping round the room! Great play and the mentality was so strong too.The boys played like a team today, together, and everyone putting in a shift.. I've certainly been celebrating - 'Electric Head pt2', 'Unholy Alliance ', 'Shoot To Thrill', 'Back In Black'.... I've done the lot! Brilliant to see the fans back on the pony again - I was missing those absolute scenes and limbs from the Holte End! It's as though Gerrard was stifling the players' creativity and self expression, and here they were let off the leash! You're right about the confidence factor - it shone through. I don't know who this Amimor guy is, but on today's showing, appoint Aaron Danks I say. We need to keep that going for Newcastle, though it could be tough as they did beat Spurs! For me, there were only four positive things I could take out of the match: 1. Brentford looked really good in the warm-up, 2. I'm glad I was sitting with the away fans so did not get a close-up view of the first 3 Villa goals, 3. I saw myself on the video at 6:33 and 4. I was back home in Moseley by 4:30 pm. We were awful and I got the impression that the Villa players were relieved that Gerrard had gone. I will keep my Brentford mug hidden tomorrow so that I don't get the p_ss taken out of me by my patients.
