The officer who said that he never wanted to intimidate people was like a breath of fresh air. I have met police officers under various circumstances from receiving a speeding ticket to taking a course with them to relatives and friendship groups and my experience has been that most of them use intimidation both on and off the job. I find it to be a very uncomfortable feeling and it has influenced my sense of trust in most of them. Anyone who needs to use intimidation engenders the same response from me, be they a criminal or a police officer.

If this guy would rape men he would be stopped years ago. Police don’t take rape seriously or a sexual harassment against women. It’s the police who protect citizens if they don’t protect people should be fired. I have problems with a stalker right now and I have hard time to engage the police. Men need to change for goodness sake!!!!

police corruption is a huge problem in the states as im sure everyone knows. i’ve known of deputies in my county who have abused their wives or girlfriends & use the fact that no one will believe them, and even if they do they won’t charge their buddy/co-worker 🤬 it’s true. there’s been cops who have killed their spouses or ex’s; male & female officers. the abuse of power is appauling. iwe need an outside company who monitors law enforcement & government officials to watch for suspicious patterns & investigate further if something is found, then remove them from their jobs & prosecute them.

I had a disturbing interaction with a N.S.W. police officer when I was about 19 and he would have been 30 plus. His young partner saw and (had to) say nothing. I escaped unharmed by literally shutting my front door on him but I can only imagine what else has occurred to others.

What infuriates me is that the same people challenging this (as they should) are praising the fact that women are bring abused in sports and expected to hand over their hard-fought rights to men. I also strongly disagree that it is the majority of the police force. There are good and evil people in every single group. It is just more shocking when it's people we trust: police, priests, doctors etc. Trying to demonise one group is wrong.

Outside of this topic, it often annoys me that people aren't more thoughtful about what they hear. So on this topic, it has long annoyed me that people seem to not remember or are unaware that the actual saying is that 1 bad apple SPOILS THE BUNCH. It's the entire point of the saying. Of course, one random bad apple isn't bad for all the other random apples. A bad apple spreads the rot to the other apples that are all around it. But people say it on the new, or the cops try to defend their dept with it, & it should have been immediately slapped down as either foolish or deliberately misleading.

Research shows that many coercive control cases being prosecuted are perpetrated by so-called pinnacles of the community - mayors, pastors, police, doctors etc, etc. Don't just divulge abuse to anyone, suss them out and make sure they are safe and not just wearing a mask.
@waffle_chair92698 күн бұрын
Another reason people need to know their rights!!! Why isn’t anyone in this documentary questioning why most people would do what a police officer says? If you aren’t breaking the law, you don’t need to do what they say at all?? If people knew this, these cops wouldn’t get a chance to do this either. Blame is on both sides here. Do you leave your infant with a stranger? Why not? You should be able to, because people should be good, but that isn’t the reality, hence you take measures to minimise danger to yourself and your kin. Learn your rights. If that poor girl had been taught hers, she’d have smelled a rat, and would be alive today. Life is a game of odds. Just like police checks before hiring helps, there’s no guarantees.

Victim blaming much🙄 this is a woman who had minimal if any contact with police in her life. Society conditions us to trust police offers and Drs and any other people who works within the public service fields. We trust that the correct checks are done before a person is pit into a position of trust like they are. Wea k is our rights to be safe and to be treated as human beings. Doesn’t mean it’s going to happen and that is never a fault on our side.
