Absolutely Gorgeous Black Prong Park Model Home
Our custom built Black Prong park model home sits on a 58' long Movable Roots park model trailer that is 11'6" wide and is right at 595 sq ft of living space (counting the loft) and 275 sq ft of screened porch space. This home was designed and built around our client's specific needs of a short term rental space on their 90 acre equestrian village.
The front porch features an electric fireplace, with a rustic mantle and large tv. Making the space not only cozy but the perfect spot to sit and relax outside with your family and friends. You enter the home through French doors into a "great" room. The living room also features an electric fireplace, room for a comfy couch, and a ton of natural light. The chefs kitchen features an eat-in breakfast bar with a large island for room to gather, a Dacor appliance package, a combination of open shelving and closed cabinetry. The coffee bar sits between a tall pantry cabinet and a Dacor panel-ready refrigerator. We cannot forget to mention the backsplash that adds the perfect pop of color to this already beautiful kitchen.
The long hallway has more open shelving with a storage staircase that has a custom railing which leads to our loft. The loft features a common area perfect for children. There are two rooms in the loft separated for privacy that feature custom twin platform beds with storage, custom nightstands, and a reading lamp.
The spacious downstairs bathroom has a modern farmhouse feel with an in wall faucet, standard flush toilet, soaking tub with sliding glass doors, a large window to allow natural light in, two reclaimed wood shelves, and a full tile wall. The large master bedroom has a custom queen platform bed with storage, custom nightstands, two perfectly placed reading lamps, a large closet with custom storage, and hanging rods, as well as room for a stackable washer and dryer that can be hidden away behind the sliding doors. The master also features its own private porch off the rear.

❤Ok I love this concept, I would only change 4 things,first the master bedroom I wouldn’t want the base for the bed, I have my own which is better then that. Second the bathroom shower I would want the one for someone who is disabled. The 3 would be the dishwasher I would want the one that pulls out like a drawer, I’m older and have arthritis in my spine the drawer is better. Last the electric fireplace, power goes out that’s no help, I would prefer the potbelly fireplace it’s not connected up the wall I know I’ve always wanted one. Those the 4 things I would change to make it truly mine.

Nothing like a screened porch! Absolutely, positively I want one! The only thing a crawl in lift is good for is angles for a photo shoot!

Pretty little home, love the loft, but wouldn't want the bed bases and built-in cabinets. Would rather have a walk in shower than a tub/shower combo. I'd also HAVE to have a washer/dryer.

My boyfriend and I would consider this a mansion! The house we were renting was sold right before my 13 year old son passed away. They let us stay until 2 weeks after his passing, and we have been basically homeless, staying in motels and friends' garages. We were recently gifted a small travel trailer, for which we are grateful. We dream of being able to afford something bigger, like this or similar so that my boyfriend can have his children visit more often.

How much did it cost? Is this movable? I kept reading that homes had to be no more than about 10 feet wide to be able to move them.

Not sure where you heard that, but they move homes that are 18 feet wide.

To move it yourself with an Ram 3500 pickup or equivalent it is only practical for it to be 102" or 8'6" wide. Anything wider requires expensive permits. And can require escort vehicles depending on what state and what roads you are moving it on. When running under a permit for oversized loads, your route is dictated by the state. Getting caught off your approved oversized routing can get into thousands of dollars in fines. And Im not exaggerating. Moving anything over 102" wide isnt really a DIY project.

Sleeping for at least six, bathroom for one? ALL my designs have 1.5 baths, On-demand H/W, D/W, and Solar Panels. The closed-in Porch Idea is super for BUG infested locals, First application for this type of cabinet I have seen and I assume you can pick colors in that shiny finish. I too am a fine of the tile backsplash. Shiplap walls are my favorite and the paintwork looks superior. Hard to believe I could buy a Park Model from a factory dealer for $21K and now I can not find one for $75K...The big corporations have pretty much squeezed out the small shop builders and can now drive costs so high only the wealthy can afford a home to live in of their own...
