The house has a rustic charm with a bit of Craftsman, and there's quite a bit of wood and stone inside. Perhaps painting the drywall parts white would brighten the rooms. Cleaning the tub area in the master bath would be a chore. I did see on the floor plan a place for a bench and coat closet at the entry as well as the half bath and a potential pantry closet. If there is a fireplace on the porch I would dispense with the one in the living room.

Lovely layout. The only changes I'd make would be to eliminate the ?sauna?, flip the downstair bedroom, laundry and rear deck area to make accommodations for a rear entry from a future garage through the new laundry/mudroom, and add an upstairs ceiling fan.

Love the house but doesn’t the dryer need an exterior vent? The washer/dryer placed in the center of the house seems problematic. I’d sacrifice the half bath or part of the master bath for the dryer to be able to vent.

It would be possible to vent the dryer overhead (disguising it as a beam), though with a long run it should be cleaned annually.

Admittedly, I am Swedish. Has 4 seasons. But it is incomprehensible that many of these layouts lack a sensible hall. Nobody wants to walk around with urine under their shoes in their own homes. Throw the jacket over the nearest piece of furniture. Or? Discusting! 😡

Last year I complained to some of these planners about the need for a coat closet and a bench for removing footwear at the entry, and I see those more often now. There is at least a place for them here.

No roof vents. No wall outlets .No light switches. No heat or A/C. A fireplace to heat the outdoors? An entire forest cut down for wood beams, wall and ceiling cladding, and floors. Window grills that will be impossible to clean. A great room fireplace with no bin to store firewood. A kitchen with little cabinet space. 4:25, weird floor plan. 7:55, try to get bedroom furniture through that wall maze. Good luck trying to live in this twisted architects "dream house".
