Every album is better than the last, somehow. This isn't a thing elsewhere. Florence fills the void of a religious experience in me, and that vibe keeps getting more intense.

"I've got no other skills" 😆 that was so funny I love her so much. This album is everything to me-- I haven't experienced something so magical and yet relatable since her third album. Daffodil alone sends me into a kind of mania lol

Not only she has a truly divine voice and is an amazing lyricist, but her eyes are also mesmerizing. Seriously, it's like plunging into a very smoothing pool, filled with brilliant water. Such a beautiful young artist, with more talent in the tip of her little finger than many others have in their entire being.

I’m a year late but as an autistic girl I completely agree, Florence’s anxiety and her coping mechanisms remind me so much of myself. I know Florence has been open about her anxiety and dyspraxia but I really do think she’s autistic if not neurodivergent

I think for me, Morning Elvis and Back In Town should have never made the album since it's called "Dance Fever". My Love, Free and Choreomania really match the vibe the most, don't get me wrong I do like the rest of the album, Dream Girl Evil, King, Daffodil as well, but a lot of the songs don't really fit the album's vibe (just my opinion) the songs are good in their own unique way, I just kind of wished a few more were like My Love, Free and Choreomania, but then again it's the artists perspective of their own project and maybe Florence intended for each song to be a different piece of the puzzle, but you still have to appreciate the project for what it is

Agree with you. This albums awful. "Free" isn't bad for a pop song, but the entire thing feels like a bunch of fillers with most of it being rather boring lyrically.

I really like King, Free, Girls Against God and Morning Elvis, but I’d agree that it’s not as consistently strong as her other albums.
@reubenyuri2 жыл бұрын
I'm enjoying the album, I really enjoyed high as hope as well. I remember being shocked by HB,HB,HB cause of how different it was compared to ceremonials and Lungs. I'd only listen to a few songs from that album but over the years the other songs have grown on me, some became quite relatable to my real life experiences. I give songs their time, I figure I'm just not ready for some of them, case in point, Hardest of Hearts was my most played track last year and I remember not caring for it too much when it released. Choreomania, Morning Elvis, Daffodil, King, Girls against God, Good Girl Evil, Restraint are my favs so far. This album felt like a defiance against expectations, escaping that feeling of being trapped by social construct, dancing as a form of rebelling and setting oneself free, having dance fever. One of the lines in Choreomania is "You say that rock and roll is dead, but is that just because it has not resurrected in your image, like if Jesus came back, but in a beautiful dress", I love the call out to people who don't embrace new music. I love when artists experiment and push their material further. I appreciate each of her albums sounding different and tackling different subjects vs getting cookie cutter material each time.

Art and music is highly subjective. To tell it's her worst work as a fact yet is just delusional. It is for you. Not necessary for others.
