My favorite 1950's actress and Hollywood's most beautiful woman ever: Rhonda Fleming, Queen of Technicolor! Never a diva and always respectful to the many who worked with her on set and her many charities. She was so gorgeous. When she was just 18 and discovered by Henry Wilson, Tinseltown's leading talent scout, who saw her on the campus of Hollywood High School, and he immediately took her to the FOX movie studio for an audition. While he and Rhonda were having lunch there, she was noticed by 2 executives who could not take their eyes off her. They told Hill to forget about auditions and just let FOX hire her on the spot. Years later in her stardom, Rhonda was told by her friend, a cameraman, that he and his peers were wagering whether she had just one angle of herself that didn't photograph as well as every other aspect of her lovely face, figure and legs. Rhonda graciously posed for them thoroughly, and the result was that each of the many cameramen admitted it was impossible to take any picture of Rhonda that could diminish the luster of her dazzling looks. Rhonda Fleming passed on at the age of 98, in 2020. RIP.

This film’s a bit Shakespearean don’t you think ? Along the lines of ‘the taming of the shrew’ . And as for that nice Indian chap doing all the work and getting no thanks , those people really had no manners . Even so , for what it was it was a good old western where the good guy wins in the end . That’s probably why we like these old fashioned entertainments .
JESUS loves you and died for your sin and on the third day he rose again repent and trust in him

" the savage cruelty of the Indian tribes ". What about the savage cruelty of the immigrants who savagely treated the indigenous population ?
@thunderbird1921 Жыл бұрын
Funny thing is, the 1950s actually had a number of films that showed some of that too (Native Americans being wronged by bully settlers). It actually was a time of reckoning in the US and Hollywood over the issue, with sympathetic portrayals and stories mixed with backlash "savage" stories.

Getting rich off crypto is much tougher than it seems. I keep losing money while trading with these youtub videos, and finding a trustworthy professional trader to help out with these trades also appears to be nearly impossible. This is extremely annoying😣
There are thousands of people out there that are willing to invest in crypto but hesitant due to the fear of losing their hard earned income to one random investment company.

I honestly love the thrills of classic cowboy westerns, but it's the spectacle of these overpowering men that unsettles me a bit. Even though that was the reality of that era, it's uncomfortable watching women being overpowered/'outsmarted' by men so often! Wish it could have been the other way round. :/
@billyodamit8709 Жыл бұрын
That's real life for you.
@dhritiidutta7534 Жыл бұрын
@@billyodamit8709 I think you missed my point. I am not going into who's biologically stronger than whom and all that...yeah it's men, we know. But I personally find it strange to see a spectacle made out of that, if it's reality then why don't people take it naturally and just move on? All I see that majority of these western films brandishing tropes like manhandle-kisses, overpowering women etc. to an extent of celebration, which is what unsettles me a bit, as a woman. Now don't come at me thinking that I condemned the films, the films and thrills are just top-notch (I'm a western fan btw) but I really wish that they didn't celebrate men's physical strength so often is all.
@maevephipson2803 Жыл бұрын
@dhritii dutta the 'overpowering men' for the most part were Gentlemen in the presence of 'Ladies. When a Gentleman married a 'Lady' he became her protector, treated her with respect, love and supported her financially. She, in return, ran the household, made sure he had clean clothes to wear and that his meals were on time. Plus she made sure she looked her best when he came home. Then came the 1960s when feminists decided women were equal to men and they could open doors for themselves, did not need help with a chair being held for her to sit etc. That is when good manners went out the window, and men gave up being gentlemen, and the world went to pot 🤦♀️👎 and has been going downhill ever since. Bring back the good old days when man cherished his wife and the wife obeyed her husband. It worked so well. 🤗
@dhritiidutta7534 Жыл бұрын
@@maevephipson2803 I understand your feelings and I also understand that how certain people could be appreciative about gendered roles, but It's just that I'm not one of them. So I'd champion equality all the way. We can have our disagreements, which is totally fine btw. :)
