Thanks! This has been the most comprehensive review of the game thus far. Though Im not a hardcore "souls" fan by any means (only having played just some demon souls) the overall style, fluidity and customization of combat have won me over and Ill definitely pick this up soon.

Fortunately I've been able to play Furi and have gotten to the 7th boss. I couldn't beat it and haven't gotten a chance to go back to it yet. Its such a criminally underrated and superbly amazing game. Lately I've been playing Downwell which is simplistically great in itself and trying to finish that. Devolver Digital has yet to disappoint. There seems to be an overarching theme in the games they publish in that the mechanics are fairly simple, but the gameplay can be hard to master. ------ For anyone who hasn't played Furi and is interested in Absolver that's an absolute steal. Thanks for the heads up! I have a PS4 anyways :)

No, its an offline only game. Just brutal bosses and leaderboards...that sorta thing. Worth playing for sure, if you want a challenge.

One thing I didn't hear mentioned, which is really quite an issue in my mind: This game is region locked, with no choice in server selection, and no way to host friends. If you are in NA, and you want to play with someone in EU (like I did) it's not happening. There is no way to play with anyone outside your region, which really limits the game if you ask me.

At the same time, it ensures less lag and more fair interactions. Could you ever choose servers in dark souls?

The devs have confirmed they will be removing region locks in the next couple of weeks.
