Haha ooh how I wish I loved summer. I do enjoy summer evenings. Do you live in a warm beach climate or a cooler one? I grew up with rocky shores, mist, and very cold kelp filled water haha I hope this technique for these abstract type of trees worked out well for you.

How do you get to the point of liking the trees your painting?

That’s a good question. Honestly, I think it’s when you can step back and stop looking at everyone else’s trees (and other art, for that matter) and truly appreciate your own work and how far you’ve come.
