Its called Green Painters Tape. You can find it in any hardware store painting section :). Often used to protect trim when painting a house.

I LIKE it!! The great strength of that particular painting is in your process. It could be adapted to any colors, any masking shape, any 'drip' patterns. I think you have a winner there. Thank you for sharing your gift.

Not quite sure how far apart I spred those lines. I just eyeballed it. My main tip is make sure to have fun with it and go with the flow. Often times the biggest "mistakes" can turn out pretty neat looking. Keep in mind I never took any art during my school career and dont consider myself as an artist, always been a musician and painting was just something I decided to have fun with one day. Its all about coming up with neat ways to apply paint to a canvas. Brushes can be boring! haha

Neat Idea. Waiting with much anticipation for the next creation. Nice ending with Willow

It's not totally my thing but I like what you've got going on. I was thinking that maybe another round of masking and dripping could give a whole new level of depth - just blow it off the wall and pop! Perhaps?

Great idea. Looks good. I have a suggestion for you. The more layers of paint you use the bester more finished the art work will look. If you were to go over your first coat which looks great but is a little thin a couple of times before using the tape the finished work will have a more finished or polished professional look. Take it or leave advice here. It's been just my experience that it works best with more paint.
@LoriPeace7 жыл бұрын

Not to sure about the purpose of spraying water on the art. Perhaps to dilute the paint to help the colours blend together.

How long do you let it dry before you put strips on. Does paint come off
@SeeWillySee6 жыл бұрын
Its fine if it is dry to the touch. The key is to use the right kind of tape. Green painters tape.

You did a VERY good job. I wish that i could be THAT talented. The only thing that i think you should add to it is that you should find a way to make the dripping portions of the painting really POP make them look 3D as much as possible. But other than that i think its an AMAZING painting :) Keep up the amazing work :)

It's just paint. But he added a lot to make it drip. Also if you add paint thinner to the paint it helps with the dripping.
