Morissette is kind of a miracle of evolution! She has managed to absorb the best qualities of the great singers of the last 4 decades and morph that with her own artistic choices to create this incredibly magnetic vocalist. That alone would make her intriguing to me but by some miracle of nature she was given a very very special tone combined with an almost alien dynamic control and resonant power ! There is definitely nothing out there like her today if you factor in versatility.

Just listening to Morissette is indeed a treat, but the live video version is all over KZbin, and watching Morissette sing makes it hit home soooo much better!! As hard as it may be to believe, her acapella version of RIse Up with Third Avenue is arguably even better than this Wish Bus version.

Immensely enjoyed this review of Mori's performance. And a hell of a first song to react to from Mori lol.
