When I listen to that line, I hear it as saying "Music raised me more than my parent did." Not parents in the plural, but parent in the singular. Either way, it's a powerful statement! I just looked up the lyrics and it does indeed say parents in plural on the one lyrics site I happened to look at. :)

My sis introduced me to NF when he was just getting "started". She passed away a few years ago. Everytime I hear his new songs I wish I could share my excitement with her. I wish I could show her these reactions from all you guys on utube. She absolutely loved him and I also fell in love with his music. Your reactions to all his songs have been my fav out of everyone else, your energy has something to it that I can't figure out. I'm sure it has to do with all the emotions I feel when watching these. Thank you and keep doing you with all your endeavors on utube and outside of it.

I must say, a line I think is under appreciated/under analyzed and I want more peoples opinions on is, "Sick people telling me I have been carrying way too much baggage, I need to take care of it I know she's right, but man it's embarrassing" I think its interesting that he choses to slip in "she's" there when he hasn't been talking about a woman all song. I've watched probably 10 people react to this song waiting for someone to catch it and say something. Great content though! You have a new fan for sure. Welcome to the NF family.

You should do Chasing. The girl that’s on that track with him is a fan of him and heard a copy of the song and did her own version of it. NF liked how it sounded so included her vocals in the official release of the song. NF is that guy that will make you think about everything he says because the things he says are so powerful. In The Search, when he’s going off, he drops the line “I’ll leave you deep in thought, can never swim in a kiddie pool.” First off, that’s a confidence in his craft that you can tell wasn’t there when he was starting out and then just saying that the things he says are so deep that they are gonna make you think about them all the time. “Yeah, the sales can rise. Doesn’t mean much though when your health declines.” Almost everything he talks about is mental health and self confidence. Truly amazing artist.

Not sure if you noticed but there are a couple song titles from Therapy Session written on the walls as an "Easter egg" because this song came out by itself originally, so in otherwords no one knew the titles to the tracks on this album yet.
