Another awesome video. Very informative, lots of info. For the people watching, I'm sure a lot of questions were answered. One thing that is consistent in this and all of your other videos, you go nice and slow and explain everything in detail.

Thank you for the time and effort that went into this informative video. Thumbs up. The problem is with the gun not with the video. A gun that sells for $1300.00, should have: a factory installed adjustable rear sight; fiber optic front sight; stainless steel guide rod (not plastic); and an aluminum trigger (not plastic). This is one of the more expensive CZ 75s. However, the consumer receives cheap components in an otherwise quality pistol.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
Yes this is very true! Never realized I added so many personal enhancements to an already pricey pistol!!! However, they are all subjective and personal taste. All stock CZ's come with plastic guide rods and doubt ever have problems. Yes the trigger was plastic but trigger pull was still crisp and around 2# out of the box. As for the sights they are dead on!! And the high rear sight makes one handed manipulation a breeze if needed for sporting games! It also allows the user to rack the slide since it is difficult to grasp, especially while in motion. Not defending CZ, even though it sounds like it, haha, but I see your point for sure. Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comments!

I had the adjustable sight on mine for a bit over a year. Then suddenly the pin that keeps the upper and lower part together at the front of the sight started to come our every time I shot. I eventually riveted the ends to stop it from moving only to the whole front part of the sight disintegrating a few months later. I replaced the original fixed sight and hat to take off about 1.5mm to get it to shoot spot on, but at least now I know it is not going to come undone again. Oh yes, and the sight on my gun has to be significantly over to the right to have the gun shoot to point of aim. Thanks for a great video.

Thanks for the info! Hope my adjustable sight stays put, but it's definitely something I'll keep an eye on.

Impressive as always. Thank you. I really dislike my black front sight and will be changing it to a fiber optic soon 😊
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
Completely agree! I personally like the stock rear, but the black front sight is "rough"! Just be careful when doing the front! I recommend taping up the slide just in case. For me front sight makes a huge difference! Good luck!

abyss1232 I am leaving my rear sight also. It is not it's intended purpose, but i actually find myself using it to rack my slide in competition lol! I think i would be lost without it 😢

Awesome vid. I think Dawson's front sight already has a relief for the cross pin so no more drilling. I'd like to try theirs since you can get a thinner blade.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
Awesome info!!!!! Guess this is strictly for the sights purchased from CZC! Wish I had known that beforehand! :-P Although, I thought these were actually made by Dawson? Let me know if you get any updates. Appreciate it!
@paulvalmores75429 жыл бұрын
Dawsons are different from CZC. They have serrations on the front face of the sight and the hole is counter bore'ed. Dawson's seem a little bit brighter and the edges are much more sharper probably because of the counter bore.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks again for the info! Yes, the updated Dawson front sight has the relief cut already! I have a Dawson front optic on my other CZ, and wasn't even close as bright. Took my set up to a competition and the CZC sight was brighter than any other fiber optic front sight I've seen! Dawson sight would be easier to install for sure though! Just my thoughts! Think, either way it's a win! I love both sights and it definitely depends on preference for sure.

Excellent detailed video!!! Thank you! Cajun Gun Works lists a Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight "only for use with the fixed OEM rear sight" on a CZ 75 Tactical Sport. The specs are .200″ tall (5mm) x .100″ wide (2.5mm). Is there a reason they spec a 5mm sight and you recommend a 7.5mm sight.
@abyss12325 жыл бұрын
The total height of the Cajun Gun Works front sight listed for the TS is 7mm which is .5mm shorter only changing the point of aim slightly. Both the 7.5mm and 7mm will work but just depends where you want the fiber optic to sit in the sight picture for your point of aim. 7.5mm is the stock factory height from my understanding and research. Thanks for the good question.

So what are you talking about you need 2 different pins? 1 for the rear and one for the front. I ran the numbers you said in the video and only 1 matched. How annoying I have to change front sight for just changing to an adjustable rear.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
So there is only 1 pin!!! It is in the front sight. I purchased a spare pin just in case I damaged the old one (which I did). That's a decision you are going to have to make. I ended up needing it, so I used it. Again, only 1 pin. The rear sight is held in with a screw or if you get the adjustable one, it is held in with two screws. Not sure where you looked up the part numbers, but every one I listed can be pulled up on the Czcustom.com website. Just put the numbers in the search bar. OR you can contact David at CGW and he will let you know which ones he has available and the prices. CGW does not have them listed on the website. The fiber optic front is super quick to pick up. In my opinion it is one of the best mods I did to this pistol (but I use it to compete). Good luck if you choose to do the install.

What de? How eh? I am having a hell of a time trying to remove the rear sight out. I have a sight pusher and that damn thing won't even budge. I try putting the slide between two pieces of wood and using a brass punch and hammering it out to no avail. How in the world can u just use a nylon punch and drift it out? And of course I removed the set screw out.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
Try sinking some lubricant through the creases. Let it set. One direction might be easier than the other. How'd you end up getting it?

My pistol has the same problem, i´ve already tried everything to resolve my problem, including lubricating the piece, and also hammering it, but it doesn´t resolved, the piece hasn't came out. Had you already removed the sight piece of your gun? How?
@glenndavis27626 жыл бұрын
Lots of sights are 'glued' into place with blue or permanent red locktite. take a heat-gun or carefully heat with a propane torch - this will break the bond of the locktite

If it happened to be off center from the factory and shoots straight. . . . . Then that's where it should be. If it wasn't shooting center, yes adjust it!

Is there a particular front sight height to select when using the adjustable CZ rear sight for shooting at 25 meters range ? (i don't want the rear side to be 'over-elevated'' to zero. according to the czcustom shop website the fiber optic front sight height is available from 5.5mm to 9.5mm. Since the adjustable rear sight seems to have a lower profile than the fixed rear sight, i guess i have to select a low (5.5mm or 6.0mm) front sight to avoid to over-elevate the adjustable rear sight at that distance. i think i'm gonna go with the lowest model available. the 5.5mm. hoping the rear sight will need minimal adjustement to zero at 25m.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
I have the adjustable rear sight installed and I am using a 6.5 mm in height front sight. CZC also recommends the use of a 6.5 mm front sight for the adjustable rear sight. If you strictly search front sights on the czcustom.com website, you'll have search results for ALL the front sights available. If click the hyperlink on the left column that says "CZ parts all" and then click on the hyperlink that says "TS parts" it will narrow you down to the parts that strictly should be used for the Tactical Sport. Only the 6.5 mm (which is the one you need for the adjustable rear) and the 7.5 mm (which is used in conjunction with the stock fixed rear sight) will be available. Don't think the 5.5 mm will work and CZC advises to use the 6.5 mm anyway. Hope that helps.
@xenomorphelv4269 жыл бұрын
+abyss1232 if using a 6.5mm front sight, and if the adjustable rear sight is set at 50% elevation, at what distance would be the zero ?
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
+xenomorphelv426 Good question. And to be honest, this will vary. Definitely have to zero your pistol the way you like and according to the ammo you are primarily going to be using. That's the point of the adjustable rear. I start with a bore sight and a rest to sight in at @25 yards from the top of the red dot to the top of the rear. No ammo needed. So my rear might sit higher than others. Then at the range I double check it at 7 yards, 10 yards, 15, and 25 From a rest.

The comp rear sight should be dovetailed in. Should just slide in, mine did. Might need some force or not. Might need to fit the sight, just depends. Pretty easy install though.
