Only Shelby is allowed to do that. This is an AC cobra not a Shelby cobra. They aren't allowed to build Shelby cars , so ask Shelby to rebuild the Daytona, AC has nothing to do with it.

Already been done recently by the original designer Peter Brock, Carroll Shelby and Superformance with the Brock Shelby Daytona Coupe with new design faithfull to the original penned Brock design concept pre Shelby 60's alteration deletions.This is the same with the GT 40's & AC Cobra being official licensed cars some continuation legacy registrations as original chassis record. So this is another kit car essentially.

my Respect for AC Cars is unique since i do like the old cobra ... but just modernizing it WITHOUT fully changing the looks is one thing that i bow down ... theres alot of car manufactures that need to learn ... Specially Mitsubishi with their Eclipse

Probably has to comply to a certain spec to gain it’s roadworthiness test certification pre production and then each car can be modded to customer’s bespoke requirements as required…

I didn't know this was being revealed, but glad I came across the video. Feel rather underwhelmed however. Was expecting a modern interpretation of the Cobra. Love the Cobra though, which this looks to be an updated version of. Exciting to see AC back in production.

I have a feeling The dimensions are going to really hurt the look of this thing. A few of the very last shots it look almost like a bad kit car, because it's sort of the shape of a Cobra, but much larger

Gentlemen, It’s amazing the body is curvy like the original and not over inflated to house the larger humans these days. Few if any visible nods to crash safety is excellent. Gas V-8 that hopefully is terrifying and brutally fast. I’m assuming it’s ultra refined with all the new stuff we have today, a logical evolution of a legend projected into the future This was a very tough ask and if she’s ready to build and sell alrighty. The original AC was a beautiful car with pin-up girl form. Nimble looking and I’m guessing pretty slow until Carrol Shelby met the company. After he did his thing the lines were left intact. Epic car. But guys… The raw, visceral lust brought on by the 427, with its deafening side pipes and widened fenders to fit those gloriously fat ass, deep dish Halibrands put this car into a realm of reality that has never been matched. There are new hand crafted aluminum Cobras out there that keep this miracle alive and they’re worth every penny. This is a refined, flat face techno wheeled, cheap looking headlight, hubris driven toy car. The fact you covered it with the mighty Union Jack is all kinds of wrong. The 427 Cobra was English and American. A Brit and a Yank who had too many pints, left the pub and spent the rest of the night banging chicks and brawling. You have an opportunity here to bring AC back in its own right. Please do that.

😅Beautiful technological updated classic. This time all English with no American intervention. They probably decided to forego updating the styling due to the failure of the Shelby Series 1. Probably a good decision. It’s hard to improve on a classic though I thought the Series 1 looked great. The price on this carbon fiber baby will put it out of reach of most people, but they have about a hundred other fiberglass clones for that. Removing the bumpers really improved the looks. Just don’t park it in New York City.

Few of the old cobra fan boys probably know it was primarily fantastic drivers who were able to take the very old AC chassis technology and make it competitive enough to win against modern race cars. I like light open cars, they are the top driving experience in my book. I wish this car very success, but I can't see myself ever buying another internal combustion car. Of, course, thees cars are probably aimed at collectors , so won't get driven enough , or sold in enough numbers , for the pollution to matter much..
