There is an easy fix for the delay start ac, stops at idle, or low cooling. Remove the freon from the compressor, add approx 250 ml oil into the compressor, and than add the froen. The oil will lubricate the solenoid valve and ac will work perfectly fine. I have tried this method and well satisfied.

I tried it and didn't work in Lexus is250 they valve stops working when RPM is low . But when RPM is high I have no issues. Strange

didnt even need to take freon out just injected some in the system and it dropped pressure down to 45 from 80

What exactly is the signal controlling? I thought this valve controls the pressure of the gas going out of the compressor...

Did the second replacement work fine? I had one replaced by a mechanics 2 weeks ago and it failed today. Could it be anything else causing it to fail?

I bought the RKX. The higher priced one. I bought it directly from RKX. It failed after about a month.

My hyundai tucson 2016. I check the connector going solenoid valve it gives 3.2 volt.. What exactly volt do have to suply the solenoid valve to engage the compressor?

no there is another switch for that these solenoids are found on the upper trim level cars with "auto climate control"

I've been struggling with very very similar problem with my Audi A3 2010 HVAC since it went for the 60k(I guess) km periodic service. As soon as I took the car from the Audi dealership, grabbed the phone and called right away to say that was more than 30Cº outside and the car just did not cooled the cabin like before. Just didn’t made cood as before and could not cooled me inside the cabin. They regassed it, adjusted the vents, improved but was never like before. I live in Southern Europe and in Summer I get 40Cº days and this car when was brand new refreshed the cabin in 2 minutes of A/C working. Just from the start of the engine, even before it got to operating temperature, against what Audi technicians say (BS from them). Can a bad service ruin the solenoid or compressor ? I don’t know if this is my exact problem, but I should try it. Do any of you have the same problme as me and solved it replacing this solenoid ? PS :What makes me mad is that Audi technicians just don’t know how to diagnose this and they just replace the all compressor unit. They should be the first ones to know what’s wrong with the car. Thanks a lot you guys for letting this out to other people.

when you tested the ecv, i assume it's 12V dc. Which terminal is the power and ground? polarity i mean

You can probably test & find out easy, just use a multimeter w/ the continuity/beep or check for ohms while it's in the compressor, or while out of compressor just hold it on the negative battery terminal or a good ground. The negative terminal/tab will beep or show very Low ohms. Use sum alligator clips w/ the meter, usually easier.

12v dc power from the battery on the two terminals will do the trick.

Hi freand.thank you for thes video.i i couldent found spare parts in my country saudi arabia and all mechaniks told must to change compresor.then i try to fix it by my self and i do it realy. the valve already work now and no need to buy new one. Iam sorry my english not ok but i can explane withe photo.if you want. If The valve has no sound it mean already not work again,but if its have sound like yours in thes vedio i am sure its steal good.

Why? The AC shop did what was asked. They did not supply the part which went faulty so have no liability for it.

Oh okay, gotcha. Still ain't fixed mine, must be a bad compressor. Fixed 1 radiator fan, replaced other & control vavle. I should at least have it ready in the spring anyway. - take care
