I had the privilege of meeting them 20+ years ago. One of my favorite pictures is Malcolm signing his autograph for me. I landed a backstage pass at the last second when someone went outside to smoke. They were truly a great bunch of guys, and they couldn't have been more down to earth and cordial. My husband got to tell Angus what an influence he had on him musically, and how much it helped him during his first battle with cancer.

@@waynebradley75 Brian lost much of his hearing from a racing mishap, actually. Touring afterward just made it worse. He's gotten it under control now, though. Also, the camera shake was done manually for added effect. The cannons aren't actually firing; it's pretty much just fireworks. Real cannon fire would cause permanent hearing loss for much of the crowd in the pit as well.

You know, it's kinda strange. I remember when the album came out in 81, and I also remember seeing this exact video on MTV in 1982. I also remember Phil Rudd exiting the band halfway through the Flick of the Switch album to be replaced by Simon Wright. However, the drummer in this video looks more like Simon Wright than Phil Rudd. Strange.

I dont know how Angus can play the stuff that makes him THE BEST lead guitarist on Earth while his body moves up and down in a way that doesn't synch with what he is playing. His talent is beyond human and isnt distracted by the opposite universe that rules his movements. Angus is here and does this for a reason, which I guess is to show that whatever made him this way happened only with him. We are insanely lucky to be here while Angus rocks the planet

Fucking epic. When this video was getting airtime on MTV, it was THE song I was always hoping for. You just had to wait and wait for it. But when those opening notes played over that dark stage, you knew it was on. Huge sound, and it also set the standard for stagecraft--the cannon, those lights--the best. All for a rock anthem that tops them all. And I didn't appreciate it much at the time, but this video was rare in the early video age for actually being a live performance. Most bands who showed "live" were just dubbing in the studio (e.g. Paradise City)
