That's really disrespectful to neighbors. Consider a neighbor play some music you would really not like at high volumes and don't care what you think. Or you live in an apartment.. Respect of others' is very important. I adore AC/DC and Rush, and I like them at high volume, but because I respect others, I also ask my neighbors if my music was too loud, or I use Headphones or something like that. But still not at high volume because I care about my hearing for years to come.

The band actually had a Bell forged for recording & several tours. The record label thought AC/DC needed a vacation after 6 years touring & loss of Bon so shipped band to Caribbean studio. However a hurricane hit the island & a machete wielding serial killer was loose on the island. That inspired this song.

Angus always starts out in the same school boy outfit, by the end of the concert hes usually down to just the shorts. The guitarist, Malcolm and Angus Young are brothers who founded the band, they came up with the name at their sisters house looking at the back of a broken appliance and saw it said ac/dc on the back of it.
@chucky9901 Жыл бұрын
Angus took on the role of the "School Boy" outfit early in advent of AC DC and then just stuck to it. His "Strut" that he uses on stage, not so much in this video but much like he used in Thunderstruck was borrowed or was rather inspired by Chuck Berry.

Bon is the one who mentioned Brian to Angus and Malcolm. Brian was the lead singer of the band Geordie. Bon went to their concert and was very impressed with Brian. Bon simply loved how Brian sang. Rumor has it that Bon's family suspected that Bon was thinking about quitting ACDC and show business. He was getting tired of the Road and was thinking about settling down and becoming a family man. Unfortunately, Bon was always drinking to deal with his loneliness and he died before he could make up his mind. (This story comes directly from Bon's brother). As far as Brian's voice changing to sound like Bon's, no he already sang this way when he was with Geordie. ACDC if anything changed their music some in order to fit better to Brian's abilities. ACDC actually took on a harder sound. Bon's voice was different. He could not have made the Back in Black album sound as good as it was with Brian. The instrumentation would have had to accommodate Bon's cleaner voice.
@crh4878 Жыл бұрын
I think "Mutt" Lange is the one who pushed Brian to sing those high notes (per Brian in an interview). Mutt did the same with Joe Elliot with the records he produced with Def Leppard. Elliot attests that Mutt pushed him to tears to get those high notes for the album Hysteria. Being the perfectionist, Mutt would have Def Leppard do several takes for a song, taking them to their limits. Malcolm Young didn't like Mutt's process and didn't like the way he "sheened" AC/DC up (Mutt spent hours getting the perfect drum sounds for the For Those About To Rock album for example). This lead AC/DC to go more raw and less polished for the Flick Of The Switch album without the aid of someone like "Mutt" Lange.

Brian and Bon sounds so different, even if there are small parts in their singing that is pretty similar. Howerever, they both fits in the bands sound so well. What I think is incredible is how they knew Brian should fit in (whoever it was to recommend him for the band), as he was doing a totally different thing in Geordie. In AC/DC he's singing in a way he had never done before (as far as I know).

It's cute to see someone react to what I've been listening to since I was twelve. Enjoy miss maggie!!

Love your reaction, especially the point you turned up the volume of the song. This would absolutely be in Bon Scotts mind, who said "Music has to be heard as loud as possible"

Bon & Brian sounds like what you would imagine a demon would sing like. Angus dresses in a school uniform, like Damion in the movie The Omen. Extremely Talented Band !!!

When i was in college AC/DC gave a free concert on fort Lauderdale beach along with vixens. I didn't go but ny friends did. I did go to the monsters of rock at the orange bowl. Van Halen, scorpion, Metallica and several other bands.

You have to cover "Shoot to Thrill" What a freaking great song especially when you see the size and the action from that crowd in South America. My god, the greatest show of all time.

Brian is such a cool guy! I honestly think he would dig the Elmo association and probably start wearing AC/DC t-shirts with Muppet characters in their place 🤘😄
