Tips for soldering: Heat up the WIRE with the soldering iron and dipp the solder directly on the wire. When the wire is hot enough, the solder will melt and wet the wire easily.
@VanessasVideos13 жыл бұрын
Mic, what are you doing to the stator & why? Does the rewire increase output? Why not simply install the new rectifier/regulator? I want to do ac-dc conv to supply Ruckus headlight & add SD headlight modulator for safety.

@MitchScooterStuff. My Vino 125 CDI is not working (starter works - engine cranks but does not fire). I say that b/c there is no spark coming from the spark plug. I suspect its the CDI is gone bad. And Yamaha is not selling new CDI's anymore. I change the Vino from AC to DC. does the CDI still come into play? or Do I need to figure out why the CDI went bad and replace it before I made this AC to DC mod? BTW thanks for a great video.. great stuff.
@AiMR3 жыл бұрын
Great video! Why can't you just use DC from the battery? You are getting the AC from the alternator? 💭
@MitchsScooterStuff3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! If you do that then you will kill your battery 😆 this is way I modified the stator to have floating ground... this is proper way to convert
@QuangNguyen2011 ай бұрын
Does this affect the kickstart when battery is dead? And what kind of voltage reading are you getting?

Hi Mitch, great video. i learned a lot and i changed my YAMAHA - VINO 50 s' wiring according to your information. Just one question, if we changed stator wiring like this, what about AUTO CHOKE and CDI ? Isn't that voltage too much for the AUTO CHOKE coil?
@wwcrxww Жыл бұрын
The CDI and auto choke are on a DC circuit. They will work fine :)

Thank you Jason! Man, I wish I knew... if I know where to get a good aftermarket, I will post about it... how exactly your stator died? wondering if can repair it

Hi Mitch! I’ve been using your videos a great deal. Thank you. I think this is my next thing. I’ve been working on an LED headlight swap and apparently I need dc at the headlight? Did you have any lingering issues or negative outcomes after this?
@MitchsScooterStuff2 жыл бұрын
You're welcome Daniel! Yes DC and LED headlight bulb work together. So far no issues, it works awesome!!

Hi Mitch, great video congratulations! I wanted to ask you, do you think it is possible to carry out this type of transaction even on a 50cc two-stroke scooter? I have a '99 Yamaha Bw's, and I will also have to mount some led lamps both on the front headlights and on the rear stop...thanks for the answer 😉😉
@MitchsScooterStuff3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes you can do that... I did to my Honda Elite 50cc two stroke it works amazing!! Same method!

bruh, did you see that cane spider hiding in your stator winding? meaness lol Can I ask if I swap out my stock headlight bulb for a Cobb led replacement and don't mind the flickering, ya think my bulb'll burn out prematurely without a rectifier? Fyi just R&R'd my stock rear shock with a fleabay RFY 12.5" clevis end adj. nitrogen gas reservoir unit for 55 clams shipped. No more springy rear. Installed rubber tubing on the long rear exhaust bolts' shafts 2 stop vibration. Also thx 2 U removed emissions, fixed my fuel guage, inspected CVT then upgraded rollers. Mahalo and pls keep up the chill and wicked cool vids!
@MitchsScooterStuff3 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah I took the spider out and put on the tree :) yes LED will blown out soon after you install 😢 Wow very cool, I should check it out.... what is fleabay?

That's a top-notch work, Mitch. Just one question, if logic serves me right, with proper know-how and a wiring diagram, I can do this to literally any bike with an AC system, right?
@MitchsScooterStuff3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Richard! Yes possible, if other bike’s stator setup look alike in this video , you can follow the steps to get job done. I did other two bikes like this and they works 😄👍🏼

Hey Mitch can’t I just swap the stock headlight bulb for an LED bulb without having to do this? Thanks
@MitchsScooterStuff2 жыл бұрын
If your bike is running on AC then no... HID light will flick like crazy and AC can kill HID bulb soon after you install :(
