I just can't get ACC to look OK in VR. :( No matter how I experiment I can't find something that I can live with. It's shimmers without AA, there are artifacts with the temporal AAs and the DLSS leaves trails behind the cars. How do you have yours set?

@@thesimracingshaolinstudent Hey bro. Many thanks for the reply. I did look at that video when you originally posted it. It's excellent, super clear and especially helpful for people just getting into VR. Tbh, if I was just getting into VR I'd probably be having a blast on ACC being blown away by how cool it is! I think my issue is that I've been in VR since DK2 days (I now have Q3) so VR is the norm and I've been spoilt by games that use the more brute force MSAA that doesn't glitch. With ACC, I notice the occasional dodgy shadows that incorrectly render in 3D and the glitches caused by temporal AA when looking through objects, like gaps in roadside fencing. Pretty sure most people are driving too fast and concentrating on their race craft to notice these things, but I can't stop seeing them grrrrrrr

@@andysonofbob2599 hey, I also suffer from those "ghosting" problems with TAA. If you know of any possible solution please tell me. For now I limit myself to playing with FXAA but I would like to use another method to avoid the sawtooth. quest 2 here

@@Wolfeat Hey bro. There is nothing we can do in-game sadly. This is due to the temporal type AA that ACC uses. Using the higher quality AA leaves artifacts in VR. I experimented with maxing out the super sampling and also the HMD pixel density one. Maxing out pixel density is best. Also maxing out the Q2 slider in home helps but that's. All of the above obviously tanks performance. On the glorious day we have the hardware to run ACC at max pixel density, FSAA and with the slider all the way to the right. The game will be... tolerable in VR.

I think its about what you will settle for, acc has a weird issue its just blury in the distance and looks the worst compred to any other sim i ihave a 4090 and a q pro i can get it to run smooth a d have things on high medium with 150% inside the car lovely outside car looks crap, i can drive like it but ita shite compared to all tge other race sims the blur horrible so i think it a prefrence thing and what u will except

i can run ACC with Quest3 90fps max resolution and 3090 with no drops. But -- resolution scale is on 70% pretty medium to low settings and pixel density to 140% ! its a very good VR experience for me.

Turning off mirrors worked for me (I only play singleplayer). It's an FPS killer. Then you can set pixel resolution to 150. In Steam vr set res in acc to 100%. I'm having great graphics even on distance with Reverb g2

Hey, have you tried using ACC with Virtual Desktop? I can't seem to get the game to look as good as yours, and I don't have a 3.0 cable.

What you see on his KZbin channel looks nothing like what he is actually experiencing in VR. ACC runs pretty bad in VR no matter what kind of tweaks and compromises it makes.

I disagree. I wouldn't play ACC if it was bad. In fact I didn't play it for years as it was bad with my valve index. I even bought a monitor to be able to play it. Now I can just put on my Quest 3 and away I go.
