Duke will be loaded next season and will probably be #1 for a large portion of the year. There's just too much talent between Flagg, Maluach, Knueppel, and the others, but this year's Duke team isn't going anywhere. NC State did it for Jimmy V.

He looks like he wants to sub himself in at times. His immaturity as a coach is showing. Tommy Amaker has been trying to position himself to become the coach of Duke for the past thirty years. He succeeded at Seton Hall, took over an untenable situation at Michigan with NCAA probation, and turned Harvard into an Ivy League juggernaut for a solid amount of time. He should have been hired, not Scheyer. The AD wanted Amaker, but Coach K wanted Scheyer.

I meannn, I'm a UNC fan. I'm not a NC State fan and im obviously not a Duke fan. But uuhhh.. How was this game "over before it even started"?!? It was pretty tight for the vast majority of the game and NC State was only up by 3 going into halftime.. You can't say "it was over before it even started" when the biggest lead of the game was only like I think it was 7 or 8 points and they only won by 5, lmao.

Why? UNC owns Duke this year. Duke didn't even look all that competitive in either game this year. Duke has had a rich recent history of elite forwards. Banchero, Bagley, Zion, Reddish, Jefferson, Tatum, Ingram, Plumlee, etc. Filipowski has nothing on those guys. Bacot eats Filipowski for breakfast. I'd rather see this red hot State team get another shot at UNC.

Curious why they are “starting to become” the third team? They won a NCAA championship in the 70’s, another in the 80’s, and then the two blue schools accelerated through the next three decades while State dipped. But who else would it be? Wake Forest has only been to the NCAA Final Four once in the 1960’s, never the Finals. They have four ACC Tournament wins, NCSU has 17, lol.
