No. 4 Florida State cruised past Syracuse at Doak Campbell in a 41-3 victory. Despite WR Johnny Wilson being out with an injury and QB Jordan Travis getting briefly shaken up in the first half, the Noles had no trouble making explosive plays all game long. Travis completed 23 of his 37 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown while picking up 2 more scores with his legs. Lawrence Toafili snagged the other rushing score with a 50-yard spring to the end zone late. WR Keon Coleman stepped up in Wilson’s absence, catching 9 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown. He ended up with 247 total yards as he also made a difference in the return game, running a punt back for a touchdown. The FSU defense held the Orange to just 261 total yards of offense, with RB LeQuint Allen accounting for 110 of those yards on the ground.
