Related so hard when you talked about searching about accelerated nursing programs instead of studying! I’m a first year student and I’m so eager to begin working towards getting accepted into an accelerated nursing program and watching this video got me even more excited! Once you get the hang of things in the program you should definitely do like a day in the life or update on the program type video!

LOL without a doubt every time I sat down to study 🤣. It's a good sign it means you know what you want and what you're working towards! Definitely will I start clinical in 2 weeks so I will try and update then!!

Hi, thanks for the informative video. I got accepted into the program for 2022 start. I was wondering when we would expect to hear back about scholarships and how much it typically is. I did complete my scholarship profile.

Hi.How can i complete those pre requisite courses if my undergraduate is not only non nursing but also non science. Will they expect me to complete those courses in my home country itself?

Hello, do they accept students that don't have the prerequisites yet? Don't they offer this during the program

Hi, do you know people in your program who applied during undergrad? Perhaps after second year? And how’s the diversity in UofT’s nursing program? Also, does one have to fulfill specific volunteer hours? Thank you so much for this video 🙌

So unfortunately due to covid it's hard to connect with all of the students but I have been in contact with a small cohort of students in person and it's very diverse, majority of the students have completed their undergrads and others have also done masters, I know one girl got in after second year! You do not need to fulfill a certain amount of volunteer hours it's just useful for your experience and helps your application!

This was a really helpful video!! Do most students in the program have an undergrad in science?
@thatnursingstudent4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about the exact numbers tbh but the background does not matter at all! I think the reason why you would notice slightly higher numbers in science backgrounds is because of the type of pre-requisites you need!

Hi , I am applying straight out of high school. So would I need to apply to a biology course than after i finish i would apply for nurisng because on the OUAC website nursing for UofT isn't listed
@UlianaBoldyreva3 жыл бұрын
U of T doesn't have a nursing program you can apply to straight out of high school unfortunately. Since their only program is the accelerated 2 year program (and not the standard 4 year program) they only take students who have already done another bachelor's program (or are currently doing one)

How are your clinicals going this semester? Is it still in person?
@thatnursingstudent4 жыл бұрын
Yes! So we aren't doing as many clinical shifts as we were supposed to this term they took out one rotation not sure if they will make it up next term yet. It also depends on where your placement is so mine is at toronto general and bcuz of covid they changed mine to two 8 hour shifts once a week for about a month while others have 1 shift a week for 9 weeks and they already started versus me who starts in November. Everything is a little wonky but they are making sure we are getting our clinicals in just a bit of rearranging!

@@thatnursingstudent Sorry for the late reply. For me, my clinicals are virtual which is really disappointing, I feel like I'm being cheated out of my education. It's great you still have the opportunity to experience it in person!

@@marion-v6o I'm sorry to hear that, which school is this? That's really tough, hopefully they'll start in person clinicals soon ik this semester was really hard to organize
