Happy New Year, Mr. Atesh! I wanted to thank you because I think one of the most significant discoveries in the vast KZbin world for me in 2024 was getting to know your channel. I used to watch a lot of KZbin content related to stoicism and philosophy, but somehow, it ended up being confusing and problematic, as it tends to be overwhelming or make the philosophies seem too dramatic. I still remember the first video I came across: "Why Do You Postpone Yourself?" about eight months ago, and I instantly connected with your ideas. Since then, I started watching one of your videos every day after breakfast, and later, I joined your club. I love how these videos and Seneca's letters have changed my mindset and my attitude toward life. I can calmly say that 2024 was a great year for me, as I became strongly persistent, driven, and disciplined. Let's cheer for 2025! For your existence, the existence of this great community, the existence of great ideas and writings, and for all the progress we make, moment by moment, understanding how important it is to be just, kind, honest, and wise. Love from Colombia!

This is the best channel I've ever come across, no exaggeration. Your advice and the way you put things forward provide so much clarity in a way I've never seen before. Personally I believe that when it comes to problems in life, you won't truly understand the solution unless it's a conclusion drawn from your own experience. Atleast that's how it's been for me. People can advice you all they want and you'll feel like you understand but you actually don't because you don't feel that sense of clarity, or what was said reaching that spot in your brain. But your videos, even when you cover topics I've not really pondered on before, I see it all clearly. I actually understand it. It's a testament to what an amazing communicator you are. Grateful this channel exists, have a great year ahead!

Sometimes you need to hear something presented so truthfully and directly to simply wake up and learn to quit fighting with yourself and this post was it. Thank you for this video and its message and for your channel, this came at the right time for me to hear it and that time was now.
@laca1032 күн бұрын
It is one of the most "meta" video I've ever watched :D You have been considering your audience as adults, and with dignity. Struggling adults with goals, and values. But not as aimless children, who "need a father figure", as other more popular "intellectuals" do out there. In my childhood, I remember that those figures had the most positive impact in my soul who did not infantilise me. In your communication style you also represent Zeno's image of happy life as a "smoothly flowing river", and not as an epic fight between good or evil.

I’m happy to see you have made great progress in journaling. You even wrote a poem! You are doing a wonderful job… Recording personal thoughts, emotions, and reflections on life through this practice, you can gain insight into yourself and your place in the world. With journaling you can also gain a greater awareness of yourself and the world around you and cultivate a greater sense of purpose, resilience, your thoughts, emotions and habits. Writing can be a cathartic and therapeutic exercise that can help you release tension and reduce stress, also can be a way to tap into your creativity and explore new ideas. Your journal is your safe space so you can let go without fear of judgment. “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love,” says Marcus Aurelius.

I love that I initially clicked on this video scoffing at the clickbait title, but now find myself walking away from it recognizing the paradoxical nature that it can be both a true title, and a clickbait title. It all depends on the level of awareness of the viewer. Ultimately, the title itself is true, but that doesn’t mean the being reading it will comprehend that deeper truth if they are choosing to live in shallower levels of awareness. hey man, loved the vid as always. i find a lot of value in everything you said about living in the present and not letting past traumas or future worries interfere. that said, i’ve dealt with some deep childhood trauma that led to severe mental illness, and it often feels like the idea of simply ‘deciding’ (even if it's not a simple process) not to let it affect the present doesn’t quite hold up. in my case it unfortunately is not the choice that this idea makes it seem like. and it's also neither because i'm unaware or denying of what's happened nor because i excessively dwell on it that i can't live in the present. it's because it's really put of my control. and it's conflicting because i know exactly what's happening and what needs to happen in order to be in the present; i just don't know how to do it. and that's my main issue with a lot of mainstream self-help content: they explain what needs to happen, but not how to make it happen. what would you suggest-both in terms of practical strategies and more introspective approaches-for someone trying to navigate this? just a guy trying to figure it out, so any advice or thoughts you’d be willing to share would mean a lot. keep up the solid work
