Hi Sam: Thank you for this. I had not visited the AT's Guys Store in ages, so I'm really glad that you demonstrated this product. Initially when you started talking, I had the question of: will it vibrate? Because if it does, then both blind and deafblind people can use it. I was delighted when you said that the bank does vibrate as well as give auditory clues. While I'm not necessarily in need of a new charging bank, I will be purchasing at least one from AT Guys because I know someone who could use one, and because I think it's important to support businesses like theirs. And also thank you to you, upon visiting their store,I discovered the Versa slate which I definitely can use and I'm super excited about purchasing. I think you put out great content and do great work, so thank you for your contributions to the community.

I’ve got a question. I ordered a little C adapter for the cord and I have let it plug-in for the last eight hours and it’s not even charging it up it’s not even letting me know if it’s even working. All it does is beep twice like it did when I first got it and that’s it. Am I doing something wrong?

That’s awesome! I have a friend without any site and she struggles to know how much is in her Power bank. It also be nice for me so I don’t have to try to look at those lights.

Very cool! As a visually impaired content creator, I have to charge lots of things and it is tough when they just use lights and color to show percentage and I have to check with a sighted person to know when things are done. I have always brainstormed how this could be made accessible and this product is awesome to see. Hopefully more tech companies will adopt this in their charging devices.

Can it power wearables such as Onyx, Vision Buddy, Iris Visions etc? Not just charging but using these devices.
@lhamil642 жыл бұрын
If they're powered or charged with USB, then I don't see why not
@theblindlife2 жыл бұрын
Yes. In fact, vision buddy actually comes with a very similar charger but it’s not an accessible one like these.

Interesting product. I think it's great that something like this exists. I think I'll try and find one that reads exact percentages. between 25 and 50 is quite a difference for me. As of now, I have a charger that with a push of a button shows the exact percentage in numbers, then I have to hold my phone up to it to see what percentage I have. As for it not making a sound when I plug something in, while this is true, usually the device that's being plugged into it makes a sound to let me know it is charging, plus I can check the devices battery status and it will say charging, so that hasn't been an issue for me. Btw, I'm totally blind.

I am from New Zealand, It would be about 164 New Zealand Dollars. And then there's Shipping on top of that. That's more than 2 weeks shopping bill for me. I will have to stick to my 40 New Zealand Dollar one with just lights I'm afraid. Although I would LOVE one.

Other than a lock that uses a key, I’m not aware of any accessible ones.

Time 1:48 You need charge it & confirm, then say if it's charges 3 times or its just a LIE NO 10K Chargers does that
@iZacq2 жыл бұрын
This only charges at 18w, Get one that charges your phone at 30w or 50w Most phone nowadays have 45w or 65w or more charging speed
@khanhhm57622 жыл бұрын
The point, if you need it spelled out to you in very clear terms (I'm assuming you understand what that means) of this video was to demonstrate a truly accessible product. Most charging banks do not have the features that this one does (vibrations and auditory cues. So if you were going to suggest getting a Nother product, include links and let the community know that it is accessible. There is a reason why this channel is called the Blind Life, and Sam has very specific criteria for presenting the products that he does.

@@khanhhm5762 I think u did not read my 1st comment, where i Pointed out that he should 1st try & confirm what hes saying or its just a Lie, cos he promoted the product, saying it will charge your phone 3 times No 10k power bank does that
@charlie68492 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's good but my one has nice large LED numbers displaying its current percentage. It's also touch-sensitive so I don't need to worry about trying to find a button.
