What accessories would add to your hard hat? Is there anything else you would like to see offered?

OH A NOTE ABOUT THE MILWAUKEE USB 3.0 RED LITHIUM LIGHTS AND BATTERIES WHICH IS DO NOT TWIST THE CAP OFF AND POP YOUR BATTERY OUT OR ANOTHER BATTERY IN WHILE IT IS STILL IN THE ON POSITION IT WILL THEN CAUSE YOUR TOOL LIGHT TO BLINK AND IT WILL NEVER WORK CORRECTLY AGAIN UNTIL YOU SEND IT OFF JUST THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW TRY YOUR OWN RISK

I think it's worth mentioning: the un-vented edition is required for folks like me climbing trees within Minimum Approach Distance in close proximity to powerlines. Also, a plus in the winter.

Here's another upgrade Milwaukee is making to their safety helmets... kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHfMeJWhlLiCla8

The reason they are swapping to that style hard hat is because most injuries on job sites believe it or not happen because when someone falls their hard hat also falls off and then they hit their head on whatever. I talked to a foreman on a site last year and was asking him about this and what was up with it and asking if I needed to go ahead and jump to the new type helmets but considering how expensive they're going to be from what I understood more or less you should be able to just get a new harness on the inside of your hard hat that would allow you to have a chin strap. Because it's more or less going to be good enough depending on the field the type of work and just you know many different little factors. But for your average construction worker probably not a big deal. I was actually unaware of that most injuries occur because of hard hats falling off before people hit the ground.

Vented and unvented are part of the OSHA/ANSI electrical standard for hard hats... you should probably read the rules to make sure you are purchasing the correct helmet before you buy!

That's a good point. Thanks for sharing that info.

I worked for a company who went to the Milwaukee helmet. Class 2. They did not have vents and the other dislike was no full brim. I'm in Oregon, the drim all the way around here keep rain off your neck and in your jacket.
@MarkThomasBuilder Жыл бұрын
You bring up some good points that I never considered. I just checked the Milwaukee website and they now offer full brim helmets either vented or non-vented. I know that feeling of water getting in your jacket. As a builder, I definitely don't like the winter days where the melted snow is dripping off the roof when you're working near the overhang.

@@MarkThomasBuilder I bought the Wavcel T2 max hardhat. Was $200 but I liked it. The vents are designed to not let water in but heat out

@@markbroad119 That's cool, I'll have to take a look at them.

They also make that PPE neon green shader that goes around the entire hat as well. Kind of like a big safety 10 gallon hat. But I think the entire point of it is that Milwaukee makes it modular so you can just get what you need as you go. I will have to say I did think that originally $110 for a hard hat was ridiculous and seeing as I don't really need one even though I do tree work I have the more traditional style bolt helmet and it was just fine. Funny thing is I paid $40 for my helmet and then went to and Ollie's two and a half weeks later and saw them on the shelf for 12 bucks lol

Can the mesh and clear face shields be used simultaneously with the headlamp? Looks like they'll hang up when lifting the shield.

I haven't tried it but it looks like no problem. The LED seems to work with everything I tried with it.

The ear muffs go in the center hole, and so does that sunshade. How does that work?
@MarkThomasBuilder9 ай бұрын
I haven't used the sunshade in awhile, but I recall the sunshade going in the back hole and the earmuffs in the center. I seem to recall the earmuffs being more comfortable when I put them in the back.

I would love to somehow have the sunscreen curl up into the hardhat when not needed
@MarkThomasBuilder22 күн бұрын
That would be a great idea, like a roll up window shade.

Also the lens visor in my opinion isn't that great. What could have made it really top notch was putting some sort of padding around the bottom portion and where your nose sits whether it be just some memory foam weather stripping or something or a gasket or something along those lines that would allow you to more comfortably have it closer to your face so you wouldn't have all that area for potential debris to get underneath and get around. And that plastic is not comfortable up against areas where there's little skin and muscle and fat such as the bridge of your nose. It does feel a little weird wearing it too but that's just me. I ended up taking mine back because I noticed it it was getting scuffed up pretty easily trying to raise it lower it when getting used to using it. I returned it and order the stainless steel screen mesh instead.
