Binu Pappu is one of the most popular actors in Malayalam Films today. He is versatile and has the ability to carry off any role with ease. He is the son of the legendary Actor of Malayalam Films Kuthiravattam Pappu who has essayed several unforgettable roles primarily as a comedian.
He is not a formally trained actor, but he drifted into the movie industry accidentally after working as a graphic designer in Bangalore for years. He is mainly noted for his performances in the movies Helen, One, Operation Java and Bheemante Vazhi and the latest Tharun Moorthy Movie Saudi Vellakka...
He ventured into acting with Saleem Baba's Gunda in 2014 and has worked with directors like Aashiq Abu, Mathukutty Xavier, Tharun Moorthy, Lal Jose, Johnpaul George, Rosshan Andrews and Khalid Rahman. He has also worked as assistant director and chief associate director in nearly a dozen movies, including Mayaanadhi, Virus, and Halal Love Story. Binu has also worked as a casting director for films like Guppy, Mayanadi, Virus, and Puzhu. Before joining the movie industry, he worked as a 3D visualizer and creative supervisor for an architectural firm.
Initially he worked as an assistant director and then as an associate and a chief associate director for several movies of Directors like Aashiq Abu.
In this three-part series of the conversation, Binu Pappu delves deep into his life story so far.
