My strong experience of this reality made me not feel I no longer needed to do any more meditation at that time. I felt truely free and wanted to get on with my life with this new view of myself and the world. It only lasted two days before I lost that feeling I remember the thoughts but not the feeling which was amazing. It was a feeling of knowing with pure certainty that everything was fine.

This is why it is advised that we need to constantly re-visit to your true being in order to abide by our true nature!. The father of non-dualism (Advaita) Sri Shankara calls it as "Smriti Santathi". Rupert himself details about it in his lecture "it is not enough to discover what you are not"

The notion of being a "separate self" is an acquired concept. It requires constant maintenance. The realization of our true nature, That we are an "Infinite Being" requires no effort. It is our natural experience! Rup Dogg has absolutely no chill!

Thank you very much Alan! 😊 The best advice I've seen of how to be after spiritual awakening....which isn't always easy in this mostly unawakened world! Invaluable advice by Rupert! 😊 Thank you!

Keeping separate is work...being mySelf is effortless..."Come to Me all you who are weary and heavy laden (with separation) and I will give you rest (in yourSelf). My yoke is Easy and My burden LIGHT!" Thank you for sharing this✨

Beautiful technique shared by rupert to question on whose behalf the thought is arising? It once spontaneously arose in me sometime back why don't we question the thought itself? Why do we keep going where the thought takes us? It has worked effectively in my case. It really shatters the thought construct. It helps in thinning away of the so called false self. simply awesome 🙏 thanks Rupert thanks Alan 😊💕

Just wanted to ask if we ask the question and we see it's not arising from a sense of separation...it is I awareness who sees that right? How do I know that it's coming from my self my true nature? I awareness can only know that right?

@dhivani shah Alan can give the best answer to this question. I would like to say that everything arises in true nature. A separate self is not something really seperate. Questions will arise. They arise on behalf of imaginary self which mainly consist of thoughts. Some dissolve in silence just by witnessing and for some we use back questioning just like a thorn is used to remove a thorn. Ultimate aim is to recognize the silence we are, to stay with it to stay as it. I am not good at explaining these things. I hope this may help 🙏

Boredom is the other side of expectation......WOW that statement was very meaningful for me! Again back to nonresistance to what is right in front of you. How subtle, and also not so subtle, expectations and feelings of dissatisfaction creep in and veil the present moment .

Thank you for this great complilation, Alan. Rupert's way of looking at our thoughts and ask them on whose behalf they came was and is so helpful for me. At the beginning it was more difficult to get to the answer and it took more time, but now, in many cases, it's there instantly together with a happy smile...

What Rupert is speaking about bringing the experience of meditation into the activities, I have always deeply somehow known that meditation is not a practise, but a way of being and experiencing, which continues all day long - we meditate when we look at the tree or listen to the bird and there's nothing more there but experiencing. At those moments I were experiencing immense joy, love, oneness with whatever is experienced.

Yeah it's like non stop meditation, on and on and I suppose as I myself not experienced it will certainly dissolve this sense of separation and there one will be , one with everything there is, dainius , ah, I feel like this is what I am for inspite of the fact that it's seems scary and sweet all at once, I suppose this is what they meant to die before dying, love you dear love you

Hearing, reading, viewing non dual teaching indeed keep the mind engaged in a guilt free state. If there is no other safeway to keep the mind engaged, we should revel in the Self by the Self in a no mind no thought state without searching for experiences to get rid of the boredom that sets in after the Nondual teaching is over. The last sentence in the Rupert Spira's teaching seems to be incomplete as to how to cope with the boredom that sets in when the teaching on the Non dual ends. The answer is BEING AWARE OF BEING AWARE ALL THE TIME without seeking any objective experience.. IT IS THAT SIMPLE.

Absolutely true, Anubukkarasi dear thank you, thank you, thank you for pointing out so clearly, this boredom is a trap and over and over ,again and again I fallen into it and it was what what kept me moving round and round in a circle , but somehow, god don't let me give up, or it's impossible to return once you began, thank you once again, lots of love dear, I will surely let your words sink in and be my flesh and bones, thank you, love you, thank you.
