From June 1994, this is one for the books! A classic of classic treasures! Not only do we have fantastic play in the Finals match of the 19th Sands Regency 9-Ball open between Tony ELLIN and CJ WILEY, but we have the infamous and colorful PRETTY BOY FLOYD, Jimmy Mataya, in the booth! This is definitely a "one-of-a-kind" match worth listening to 'til the end!

@callingoutbullshit3623 I haven’t been watching a lot of pool lately but a year or two ago you could catch PBF commentating on a few streams. I think maybe it was on pov pool streams. Funny as ever. If you haven’t seen his “secrets of pool hustling” video - watch it immediately. It is the greatest piece of pool art in the history of this spinning earth. Tears of laughter. An epic troll

Ye mataya doesn’t like jump cues. In one sentence he said the shooter looked Like he took charlie chan’s walking stick Soon they’ll be knocking em in on planet mars from saturn And it’s like that guy who jumped those cars at the snake river Evel knievel. He also said there were 17.5 million viewers, Frank sinatra was here but just left, the winner got $500G And a new lexus, and the runner up $250G. Some zingers for the ladies, as well.

At the end we saw the pretty wife of cj and mataya wanted to know if she had any sisters. The other guy in the booth said, well id settle for one of her brothers. Jimmy not knowing what to say to that chuckled, youll probabably end up with one of her brothers. It was incredible really. Very funny.

That Minnesota Fats reference took me back. I fell in love with pool I was playing all the time. My mom got me a video for Christmas of Minnesota fats. I learned why I did certain things and how I could use it better . And also a little something called The Diamond system. A little less than a year later I was getting banned from Every Game Room tournament there was. Now if she'd got me Pretty Boy Floyd's video. I would've have been such a dumbass and ruin my action everywhere. I was dead set on on humiliating anybody I played. Pool is the longest lasting love I've ever had.

Why do commentators feel they have to predict the shots? Don’t they commentate or make comments on the shots players themselves already decide to shoot? I think this is what commentators should be doing rather than being predictors. For instance, the commentator said he has not got one right yet, but getting predictions right is not what a commentator should be doing. It's commenting on shots after the player shoots them.
