Actually, the comics are secondary canon, meaning that as long as they don't contradict the primary canon (the show), they are canon. In order words, the comics *are* canon.

I wouldn't have minded this story, had it not been for the art at times being blatantly traced, if not flat out ripped from the show. The story itself is fine; it's just that the art aspect is harmed by the questionable decisions.
