Ace was hit by a car, and a woman (who I don't know) called Roxana emailed me about him. I went to get him right away, but when he saw me, he got scared and ran to this back yard where another dog attacked him. The end of the story - on this video

If I had been lost for months or years and I was finally rescued - being human mind you - I would want the thing that I missed the most and that would be a Burger King Whopper with Cheese, they are so good!! The burger being cooked, warm and tasty is what is needed to gain the trust of these animals who have been abandoned for months at the least, years at the most, living on what ever they could find or was given to them. Any meat would do, but cooked meat is better for them and will gain there trust and attention quicker, also kind words, friendly slow voice and not being taller then they are also good as you can see.

Poor sweet baby boy. When you were finally able to leash him, and trying to pet him, you can just see the look of just wanting to give up on the horrible life he's be enduring, just the look of not caring whether he died or not. Most, u see the fear in their eyes, they don't kno who u are, what ur gonna do, always can see that fear in most of them..but the look of "I don't care what ur gonna do..even if u are here to kill me.." That look is what made me start bawling. NO Dog, or animal in general, should have that look in their eyes, everrrrr!! How can be "humans" so cruel and heartless when they see a face like his? He's a beautiful boy and his eyes show that he is calm and very friendly. Those eyes show love and trust but this inhumane creatures destroy everything they could. Luckily this sweet buddy got rescued and I hope he found a loving home now. What a lovely nature Ace has,he was hit by a car,and that must have hurt,then attacked and injured by another dog,and yet he was so sweetly docile when you spoke to him and stroked him.he seemed to know you were going to help him get safe,And as a note to all of you sad breed haters,There are NO BAD DOGS,just a lot of lousy owners,Pitties,Staffies,Doberman and Rottweiler all suffer the same devil dog label it is so unfair.Thank you Eldad you are the angel for these dogs,bless you .

God bless, i came across a Bully on the side of the road. She was not wounded but staggering. She had had pups (many times). She let me pick her up (kind of) to put her in my van. The vet figured she was around 5 years old. Time and again Bully's show they are so gentle souled. So thank you so much Eldad, and to all others that do not turn a blank eye to this.

You have no idea how astounding the change can be after only a few weeks of proper care. My dear late Gifford, a Newfoundland mix who'd been dumped in a state forest, was skin and bones at 72 pounds the day I took him in. ONE month later of normal feeding, he was 97lbs. Three months, a healthy 112lbs. And yes, the vet bills were high. But he was the smartest dog I've ever known, and I don't regret a single penny for the three years it bought me with him.

The dogs of LA are lucky to have Eldad. He has a real gift which leads them to trust him. He moves carefully and gently and doesn't startle or scare them. Eldad really should be asked to talk to animal control departments about his techniques. He could really teach the "professionals" how to be more humane.

Even though on the videos it seems like he is with the animals for minute he is actually spending hours at a time gaining there trust and he is very cautious when first petting the dog. So he will know if the dog is viscous or not when he first pets the dog

My heart pounds with every video, and doesn't stop until the dogs are safe. I love all animals, but have always been partial to cats, but I hate to see any living creature treated badly, and suffer. This is extremely touching. I've never seen an injured dog (both hit by a car and attacked by another dog) to stay like this in a car and watch the rescuer with such thankful eyes. I can't even believe a dog can have that kind of look like "Thank you with all my heart", except the poor dog couldn't wag its tail because it was probably exhausted :)... amazing.

I luv beth Ah, I don't want to freak you out but do not show that you are scared because that's one of the worst things you can possibly be. Try not to show that you're scared and defientley don't act aggressive and the animals will trust you easier

+I luv beth Saying you're going to be an animal rescuer but are afraid of being bitten is like saying you're going to be a surgeon but can't stand the sight of blood! LOL! Perhaps you could consider helping the rescue in some other fashion, like providing transportation or food or helping with vet costs, etc. Not everyone is expected to perform the actual rescue, and, if you're concerned about being bitten, there are many other ways you can be just as helpful! Good luck!

+I luv beth I'd suggest asking other animal rescuers for some tips on how to handle your fear, I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, of them also felt the same fear, they just know how to handle it and channel it in a better way. :) Also, get some training from those animal rescuers as well about what to do/not to do when dealing with animals with various states of health/stress/trauma. Some of those fear you felt might be because you don't know when an animal is about to attack you to defend themselves, I think when you know what to watch out for your fear will lessen a lot. Anyway, good luck on becoming an animal rescuer! Wish you all the best. :)

i can really see in his eyes that he's really hurt, and can't be able to escape from him. most of the dogs would protect themselfs and be aggressive when someone come near. But this dog was too nice, it look so lovely and adorable. i dont understand why anyone could leave him. i feel really sad for what happened to him. i just wanna give him a big hug. im so glad that there's nice people out there that helping homeless dogs. thank god
