As kid(14 yrs old) i set on fire the house off the people who were breeding pitbulls for fight , they lived in the barn locked. I was depressed for like 5 years after the people in the house died. But now i know i did a good thing. Also the dogs were adopted as i remember

Dogs never cease to amaze me. He’s in a plum crate looking completely defeated, sad, and nervous. It’s probably been a long time since he’s had a home or someone to trust, if he ever did. And in just a short while he’s connecting and wagging his tail. Dogs really bounce back so fast a lot of the time.

@@sammyn9345 The other dog is overweight as well? It doesn't really matter the breed, the ribs shouldn't be showing but they should be felt through the skin, I know there's a layer of fat between that dogs skin and ribs lol but you can believe whatever you want! :)

Yes. I volunteer at a shelter and a little terrier mix came in at about 38 lbs. Optimal weight should be about 20 lbs. He's down to 28 lbs and the difference in his spirit is amazing. He trots and jumps and just feels so much better, and he's not even at his goal weight yet. It's really not okay to let your animals become obese, just like it's not okay to malnourish them.

It’ll hopefully even out again. It’s probably similar to humans - after a long period of starvation, the metabolism slows down so much, that extra calories won’t get burned, but stored as fat.

Glad he's happy but both those dogs are fat. I know it's hard, not to give treats to these pups cause you feel so bad for them and their beginnings but those dogs being that overweight will not lead to a long, healthy life. Please get them both on a diet. :)

I am 72 and have never been without such a companion by my side. Each one is unique and I will always miss the ones who no longer play among us. I cannot imagine a world without them. One of my dogs was morbidly obese, she had a thyroid problem that she took medication for every day until she passed. Every time I took both dogs out someone would always tell me to stop feeding the fat one and I was killing the dog. 🥴

@@notthefather3919 Ask any vet, or vet tech. His weight is causing him to have trouble breathing and very well may lead to a heart attack. Increased joint pain will decrease his joy in life as well. Saving him is the 1st step in helping him. 2nd step is creating a healthy lifestyle for him with the right amount of exercise and healthy food. Commercial dog food, wet or dry, is garbage for your dog or cat. I have always fed my dogs various RAW cuts of meat FROM frozen. I make sure meat is frozen for at least 24 hours so any parasites are killed, defrost and serve. My last dog, who passed in May was 17 yrs, old, 104 lb. and had had zero health problems. None of my dogs have had skin troulble, etc. Read how commercial dog food came about and what's in it if you're curious. Hoping all the best for this sweet dog and his ppl.

These people are amazing for adopting this sweet boy! Obviously he's in a really loving home. I sure hope they're able to learn some new habits and routines as far as feeding their dogs. I have a dog who puts on weight really easily, but it's absolutely doable to reach a healthy balance and keep the weight off. Not feeding alot of treats and avoiding feeding dogs 'people food' regularly is a good habit as well! Thankfully one of my dogs favorite snacks is cucumber 😂. He's so accommodating. ❤

I love this...so cute. I do not love how overfed these dogs. These overweight dogs will not live as long and will have a hard time with their joints. Do your dog a favor and keep your loveable friend a healthy weight.

Pit bulls are very muscular, he’s a bit chubby, but it looks like mostly muscle. He’s running and rolling fine.

I'm so glad these people found this little boy. Breaks my heart knowing he was so scared from abuse he wouldn't leave his plum box. He's so happy now with this loving family.

What a beautiful boy, after a very rough start he looked so sad and underweight, why do some humans think in any way, shape or form that this is ok😢 now he looks so happy, he is loved and respected for the gorgeous animal he is❤️❤️

Wow lil Plum is a lil Tank now. So beautiful living a truly happy life to when he was found. People can be so bloody cruel, then there's angels like the animal rescues all over the world and they try to make those wrongs right!! Thankyou for sharing Lil Tanks, I mean lil Plum's story🙏🏾💜

Can we all just appreciate his adorable OVERBITE! I know an overbite can cause health issues to a puppy but he made it! I’m so happy he is loved and no longer curled up in a plum box.
