The beginning of this movie is a parody of “Cliffhanger”, an awesome 90s action movie. Worth checking out!

What is so funny is my wife had never heard of or seen Cliffhanger so she never got the reference. We decided to watch it with friends one day (who we found out hadn’t seen Ace Ventura 2) and my wife was dying laughing at the Cliffhanger scene because she got the reference… she also looked like. A psycho for laughing during that scene. Lol

In both cases i'd say you honestly can't go wrong either way. You're going to have a good time. my favorite joke about that was in 3rd Rock from the Sun was when John Lithgow joked in an episode that "He saw something on the wing of the plane!" referencing the Twilight Zone Movie in which he did a remake of the episode, then when Shatner plays a role as The Big GIant Head in a later episode, he also saw "something on the wing of the plane"...where Lithgows character goes "Same thing happened to me!!"

Most of this movie lives rent free in my head - the hippo scene, the projector scene (Mr Favorite(yes said like Zord and yes this is a ) inside a ) ) - as well as the driving scene are some of my favorite moments in film. Every single time I see them I laugh - regardless of the setting or were I am at in life. There are others but a LOT of this movie just WORKS! Monopoly guy scene, the whole opening rip off of Cliffhanger but also shows the darker side of the job and how it really did actually mess him up. Still like the first film his care for animals takes priority over near everything - I love how even for a SECOND he said F it to the White Bat . . only to go back for it. The subway sign alone gets a chuckle - like is it real . . . or massive obvious Product Placement? The scene were he is overcome with grief with the (admittedly cool looking) study filled with old stuff but also all the stuffed animals. The coming back around to it with its liberation by the animals is epic! Oh and the "theme" for this movie - lets just say as a Wrangler daily driver it plays a lot whenever I drive with the top down ;) One of the top tier comedies of the decade and easily up there with the category of "while the original is a GOAT" in many ways, this movie delivers what a sequel should! I just wish they made a third with him back in the U.S Edit - .......SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIKKKKKAAAAAAAAAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
