Cuphead didn't invent rubber hose cartoon style but they probably where the first to use that style in video games at least with great success. This game isn't original in its art style or gameplay but I'm still having fun with it.

The artstyle is from 1930/40s cartoons so I don't know why people keep refering to Cuphead like they invented it.

I'm absolutely shocked that a bullet-hell hasn't blown up on mobile yet. I think this game will be the game. Its beautiful, plays great and gets into Cuphead difficulty over time. Trust me, by world 4 you'll feel it. the boss rush is stupidly fun as well. Really really enjoying this! Can't wait for full release.

True Although there was the whole chicken space game or whatever a while back, the genre never really blew up on mobile

Sky force reloaded is probably the best game out of the genre. It had discrete success but was forgotten

Been playing this for the last few days, love the artstyle. It's a great side game. The problem is there's not much point playing too far into the game right now as they are doing a full wipe before release.

Started playing it today. Love it! I thought we had to do a screen flick to absorb the pink bullets, thanks for letting me know that I only have to lift my finger lol.

Love the art style of cup head but ive already played dragon pow so nothing new here. Still....always an entertaining video...cant wait for the next one

No idea what's going on, if you watch closely in moments like @1:18, those carrots obviously hit his plane, yet there's no damage.

theres a tip that tell you the hitbox is the middle of your plane (which is roughly the size of the character itself). its just to make the game easiwr

@@a-1455 I dunno, Steam says that all the Vampire-Survivor games I play are Bullet-Hell, and that means I've played a hell of a lot of those. And, of course, in none of them does that happen. If something hits the character model, they take damage, and while it's not always perfect, especially in games with "dash" moves, the intent is clear - getting too close to enemies or being hit by projectiles should be avoided. But I guess there are other bullet hell games that I don't know about, where projectiles can hit the character and not cause damage /shrug.

this is almost exactly like the dragon pow bullet hell game that came out a few months ago, with artstyle of cuphead. Idk, fully stolen gameplay + artstyle doesn't give me hope that this is a serious developer.

Cuphead devs dont have a monopoly over 20s style cartoons. They didnt copy any specific Cuphead character. But the octopus girl is limit though.

@@alfasilverblade meh, the style is pulled directly from that game everyone can make that determination. Wouldn’t be as nefarious if their actual gameplay wasn’t completely scraped from an existing game as well. 🤷
