Its color accuracy, contrast, and black level is slightly better than the monitor that it's replacing (Also an IPS monitor). I got it to run at 75Hz and at that refresh rate vs 60Hz, I notice that motion blur is a bit lower. Overall, I'm very happy with this monitor.

2:50 It doesn't matter how fast the server tickrate is in relation to your monitors refresh rate because they aren't synchronised together. In theory, even if you had a 1000Hz monitor and you played on a 30Hz/Tick server, you could still "miss" a tick.

I might be an outlier, but I got one of these from Amazon which had a dark grey splotch on the left side (Looks like burn, but I don't know how that could have happened) and 3 dead pixels on the right mid side. Sent it back and got another and it had 1 dead pixel on the left, and one on the right. I'm not saying to not get this, because it seems pretty highly rated. But if you were to get it, get it from a trusted site so the return will be simple.

I just want to say that I own this monitor and it was very hard giving it up. If it was not for the fact that I wanted to do 144 hz gaming, I bought an ASUS VQ248QE, I would still playing on this. Great price and does everything you need on it. If Acer ever decides to take this same display and add 144 hz I would buy it in a heart beat. Another thing to add is input lag which is of course different then response time. For an IPS panel this puppy has 9.6 millisecond input lag which puts it up there with TN gaming panels. Anyone purchasing this monitor will not be disappointed.

Another reason response rate is important is for input delay. This is mostly when playing Fighting games but when you make your input, sure the machine always has the same reaction time to it but the screen doesn't. Having a 1 ms response time is a must for these games as you need to react as fast as you can to everything that's coming your way, weither it's the opponent's attacks or even just their movements. You also need this good response time to get good muscle memory, as lag on your inputs directly counter that. Also, every single offline game benefits from low response time, as they don't need to wait on a server to give you the necessary information.

Ray Obando AOC q2778vqe, 250€ for a 27" 1440p Tn, it's quite good as far as tn panels go in terms of viewing angles and color, greys are a weak area but it's not bad. The 4ms is referring to gtg response time which is more important for ghosting and not for input lag. Since it is a 60hz monitor, 4ms should remove ghosting. Companies usually report the best time rather than the average, but since you'd have to go over 16ms for there to be some noticable ghosting, 4ms is well within the desired range.

You should also look into how high the refresh rate can go before frameskipping. Use CRU or the graphics cards utility to add a custom resolution with a higher refresh rate and check with the UFO test if it is frameskipping. My aoc i2369vm could do 75 Hz, but my LG 29UM68-P starts frameskipping without a freesync compatible GPU for example.

I got the 21.5 inch version on Amazon. Its at this price too AND includes a hdmi cable. I’m guessing the r221q bid is a newer version of this. 21.5 or 23.8 inch 1080p?

I was gonna get this one, but I got the LG 32 inch you recommended a while ago. Happy with that, still would've been happy with this.

The 32" is also awesome... at the time this was a bit more, it recently had a price drop... I paid $13 more than this recently for it, so this is the best price so far...

I was kinda worried about the Response time when buying a monitor, you helped dis spell some of my concerns, as I'm usually playing single player games, thus not really benefiting anything from 1ms to 4ms. Thank you.

Thank you very much, I had said it many times that there is no point in high refresh rate monitors if the server tick rate isn't as high as the monitors refresh rate, but nobody believed me, now I can point them to a video of a respected youtuber such as yourself and as per usual they will believe everything a respected youtuber says and NOT a random person on the internet with tons of facts and sources in books, articles and everything else. :)
