never unplug the screen connector before unplugging the battery first. The battery should have been unplug before working on it .Nice video keep it up.

that was the screen connector and not the data cable. You can blow the screen backlight circuit if the battery is still connector to motherbroad when you connect the screen connector.

its very safe to unplug the battery always 100%. but if you are working on a upper part of the laptop its more working taking the entire laptop down. There are switch on the motherboard that allow power to pass through when you turn the laptop on. ( mosfet )
