Super sad song. The music and especially the vocals are incredible. Knowing what it’s about makes it hit harder.

Sebastian Bach, imo is the most underrated singer in rock. He is never mentioned in the top 5. How? I ask. how is it possible that people think were at least 5 better than him?

Just a note, the horse stampede he's referring to is his friend's raging heroin addiction. Horse was slang for heroin.

A good song OF SKID ROW IS IN A DARKNED ROOM
@BertZedic5 ай бұрын
The song was written about Sebastian's good friend Steven Adler (drummer for Guns N Roses) and his heroin addiction that cost him his spot in the band. The "horse stampedes" line is in reference to heroin, which back then was sometimes nicknamed "horse". Sebastian blew his voice out recording this song, and to me it's the most emotionally charged vocal performance in heavy metal history. It's a true masterpiece.

Paranoid delusions they haunt you, wher's my friend I use to know? He's all alone he's buried deep within a carcass searching for a soul...Can you feel me inside your heart as it's beating ,why can't you believe you can be loved?...Amazing lyrics

Sebastian wrote the lyrics for his friend Steven Adler (who lost his job as drummer for Guns 'n Roses due to his drug addiction). Fortunately, after a stroke and 20+ heart attacks, Adler is still alive and kicking-- and he and Baz are still friends today! Funny how Rachel Bolan called this, "The worst piece of crap we ever did."🙄
