One of the biggest problems is them just crouch walking through the map alone. Two people are at site, one is crouch walking through the kitchen, one is on the stairs at the opposite side of the map and one has already died. Seasons are soft resets. If you ended in Diamond the previous season and lost every placement game you'd probably be placed in low Plat/high Gold. If you ended in low Silver the previous season and won every placement game you'd probably be placed in mid Gold. Etc. So if you've done worse than them and never placed as low as them then your ending rank is probably pretty good each season. Since this was their first ever placement the only reasonable place to put them was Copper.
