What about Carnivore some says patterns is like a Confusion other says it is a just a line of Leopard, my Carnivores do not looks like Leopard

That would be pretty crazy and a little sad if there’s no possibility of hitting the combo and you only produce visual monsoons and candies from a DH pairing

when doing the Red Stripe test can you see the difference between the ones with the attached granite and ones without it ?

Not yet, but that is something that we will pay attention to if people label the sheds they send in as being granite or not!

Not confirmed yet, that I know of. We hope to find breeders with possible super acids that we can test and be able to confirm one!

Is there any research going into calico/sugar? It seems to be widely accepted that they're the same gene but their expression ranges wildly. I'd love to know if there's something funky going on there.

We are working on this, but have more Calico than Sugar sheds. But we can for sure still use more of both! It is interesting how similar they are, but yet with some difference in the variability within them. And I remember TSK having sugar clutches where they were able to tell which eggs had sugars in them because the sugar eggs were noticeably smaller than the others. Very interesting!!! For sure more to learn about Sugar and Calico!

Any plans to test fire, vanilla, and lucifer?

Yes! We are the closest on Fire, and have sequenced some Vanilla and Disco. Haven’t had much Lucifer come in.

Right now we have to have sheds from at least 20-40 different individuals of a given mutation to have a chance to be able to find the mutation that causes it. So from a single individual we would not be able to do much at this point.
