The next Predator movie needs to exclusively focus on a young Predator (with no humans except for maybe a human skull trophy) on his journey to become a warrior. Then, maybe some rogue Super Predators (to tie in with the previous movie) would kill an Elder and the young Predator would hunt down the Super Predator and become the youngest Elder in their history. I'd pay to see that movie, and I haven't been to the movie theater in years.

Hm. I don't think the Predators need subtitles, since they never had subtitles before and we understood them just fine through a combination of movements and Yautja speech. Kind of like the apes in the newer Planet of the Apes movies, who also did not have subtitles when doing sign language and grunting.

Falconer from Predators was the only honorable bad-blood Yautja, I know of. As he could of killed the Yakuza at any point, but instead they fought by the sword/wristblade. After I saw this, I bought a Falconer figure and he became my favorite.

Great back story. All of it would make a great movie IMHO. Follow a group of young predators as they go through these rites of passage and have some break some of the codes, see the consequences, etc... I'd watch that in a second!! Ok Producers and Financiers, Fund this Film!!! Who knows, might work. I'd even settle for a fan made film as I was impressed with what I saw in the Dark Ages Predator Fan made film. I read somewhere a long time ago that when a Predator hunts, killing the target is not necessarily the goal, but it's often the outcome, not sure how true is that. I also read that if you ever encounter a predator, the last thing you should do is kill it, because then you'll be seen as worthy prey and be hunted for the rest of your life.

It's all Sci Fi, fictitious nonsense of course, but I get great entertainment from the Predator series. The stuff about the Predator's Code Of Honor are complex, well thought out aspects about character, so I liked that the most. It was engaging, entertaining and perhaps even educating. It all began with the first movie back in 1986. The character has developed through each successive sequel up to this point; the mercy killing of the actor; Lance Henricksen's character: "Leland" in AVP. The building of the Predator has been an ongoing, exciting and psychological process unlike any other Sci Fi character. I actually regard it as a dimension of our own.

Right? I think it makes much more sense considering their technological achievements, weaponry, and so on, that hunting is more of a hobby to them than a way of life. Obviously a very important tradition to them, rather than just some casual hobby if they're willing to dive into nests of xenomorphs with a high likelihood of death and dismemberment. But their society as a whole can't possibly revolve solely on hunts. How would they ever get shit done in order to do all things you asked about?

I would LOVE to see a movie about an ELITE group of Predators who hunt a queen Alien. I liked the Predators from AVP but those Predators were unproven and some died very easily. I have always thought that the humans were only able to kill Predators because they got lucky and the Predator got too cocky and underestimated them. Can't really remember when they were an "easy kill".

Dutch got lucky, Harrigan was almost dead when he got that surprise killing blow in, Royce used the Predators vision for his advantage. Can't remember how other Predators fared but all of these examples simply got lucky. Also as you know, "if it bleeds we can kill it", Predators are superior in strength etc compared to humans but even in the first movie it is made clear that they are not unkillable. True, they are not really too much more stronger than humans but they still are and it gives them an advantage in fighting.

Dutch won because the Predator got too cocky and never even thought he could be killed with sticks and stones. The city hunter had Harrigan on his knees when he got surprise attacked by a man he thought was already too weak to continue fighting. The Katana fight was a draw if i recall correctly, not really a win if you die as well. The point still stands, none of these were easy kills.

Problem: Xenomorphs hadn't evolved yet at the time of AVP. It wasn't until 2093 that we began to see Xenomorph's as we think of them today. Then in 2104 during the covenant mission and its sequel we'll finally see them reach the stage at which we see them in Alien. So either the lore is broken or we're missing a massive part of the story in which Xenomorphs had already existed for centuries which calls into question the events following the Prometheus incident.
