i have been listening to this band for 30 years. this is the kind of crazy stuff i like the most. i never thought anyone would like this too here. their best performance was their live at the pongmasters ball in 2002.

Fabulous creative group. Ozrics have been going For nearly 40 years. They are one of the greatest festival bands from the UK and, totally underated by music mainstream industry. Tidal Convergence is a great song.

Ozric are a truly unique experience, this track is the first song I ever heard by them and instantly bought that particular album. Bought everything else by them ever since.. fantastic band, seeing them live is a truly psychedelic experience. My personal favourite songs are, the high pass and eternal wheel.

Yup, great festival band, tight musicians, lived the life too on the road a LOT in the mid/late 80s. They're one of the bands that were cassette only for quite a while in the 80s the "live ethereal cereal" version of Kick Muck is awesome
@RichMonty13 жыл бұрын
I first heard them in 1990 aged 20 and saw them live first in 1991.It's safe to say that they blew me away and coming from a metal and punk background they opened up so many new musical possibilities for me.So creative and unique and with the ability to totally bliss you out or rock you right out several times during the same song they quickly became my favourite band.Live i think they reach even more epic heights and the ability to produce such amazing,beautiful,complex music on stage is an artform and experience that i've become hooked on.That's why i've seen them live over 80 times in the last 30 years and still no other band has a sound or vibe quite like them. Formed in 1983 these still slightly underground legends of the UK festival and psychedelic scenes should be far,far better known and at least youtube is helping with that. Tune in,space out and enjoy...

Couldn't agree more with you on that ... Have a similar feel on them ... A great plus is they're still active till today and bringing still great things to the people. They stayed true to themselves in a way. I love the spacy Jazzy vibe they have, saw them live several times, but the smaller venues in open air, are so amazing i atmosphere. You got to love them. I do believe they do somehow grow on you also :D

You'll be amazed at Ozric Tentacles' entire catalogue - imagine tasting every food, spice, herb, drink, animal, plant in the World - the Ozrics are the auditory equivalent. I recommend Wob Glass, Saucers, Vibhuti, White Rhino Tea, Jurassic Shift, etc...

This is like the soundtrack to magic mushrooms lol, pretty cool band. If you wanna delve deeper you could try listening to the group Shpongle, but at that point you are leaving the rock almost entirely for ambient and trance, but they have the same psychedelic vibe.
@ozricness3 жыл бұрын
One of their defining tunes is Eternal Wheel. It's about 8 minutes long and morphs into a myriad of alternate universes in its duration. Not as fast as Kick Muck but equally psychedelic - if not more.

Saw them live in the early 90’s they are truly special musicians. The line up changes constantly over over time and their style is pretty fluid too.

I remember seeing them at Brixton academy Megadog all night loon out, as the special guests at midnight. By which time we had been warmed up by Banco De Gaia and the Orb.... it was outrageously good. I rocked out next to a 7 foot crusty, and we banged poppers on top of a few ebernezzers throughout the show...

The first thing I really heard by the Ozrics was White Rhino Tea from the Strangeitude album and I had exactly the same reaction - so much going on in the music. I recommend you check out the following: Dissolution (The Clouds Disperse) (from Pungent Effulgent) A Gift Of Wings (from Erpland) Jurassic Shift (from Jurassic Shift) Dance Of The Loomi (from Arborescence) Coily (from Waterfall Cities) Psychic Chasm (from Spirals In Hyperspace) It's also worth checking out related acts - Eat Static, Nodens Ictus, The Oroonies, The Ullullators, Tentacles Of Static. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Sploosh is a great track only for people who like OT for their Tripy Trance side, which, I think, is by far the less interesting string of their bow.

I first heard 'Kick Muck' around '89, '90 and loved it. I bought the 'Pungent Effulgent' album for it, but when I listened to that, the track that completely blew me away was 'Ayurvedic' kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWGanpeEitWWfac I saw them 5 times during the 90s at various gigs and festivals, great times.

After filling the flying teapots with enough shrooms to see whatever you want, these guys get busy playing, Acid as trippy rock. Not much else to do in West Yorkshire really - you also have more hippies than a day ay Woodstock. I've seen these guys everywhere. Pungent Ephungent and Feng Shui are good.
