Acknowledging our self-worth through gratitude
Be aware of what you are grateful for throughout the week. Do not force gratitude thoughts; acknowledge when you see, hear, feel, smell, or taste something.
That first cup of coffee. Hearing your favorite song playing while you are shopping. Falling into your comfy couch at the end of the day. Your dog’s excitement when you walk through the door. Move through your day to allow gratitude to be in the spotlight.
By exercising our gratitude muscles, we have improved our understanding of what brings us joy in our lives. It is usually not the large things we fall back onto when feeling low, scared, or unworthy. It is the reminder that we are all part of something bigger and beautiful; it is all those little things throughout our day that pull us up to experience love and empowerment and feel worthy to share the feeling.
