ACL VLOG | 2 Weeks Post ACL Surgery
Im 2 weeks post ACL surgery and things are getting a little bit better day by day. I had ACL surgery and the first week was pretty rough. Day by day, week by week I'll be pushing through this and working to be able to get back to my sport.
Im taking the bandages off also, FINALLY. Who is up for some post op scars?

I’m currently on my second week after surgery. The dots on upper thigh is from the scope “camera” entry. I have 1 dot but noticed you have 2 dots. They must of re-entered a 2nd time. I’m currently doing Physical Therapy. My ACL replacement is from a cadaver.

Im 2 weeks post op with ACL and MCL surgery (hamstring graft). I was able to walk (up stairs no crutches) and bend to 110 deg 13days post up . I have a permanently dull pain in my knee and it is worse at night, wondering how long it took you for pain to go away and how often you kept icing? Also my big takeaway when taking pain pills is take the stool softener too ALL FOLKS OUT THERE!

How are you doing all of this only on week 2? I am on day 6 and oh man i feel like not much progress. I stopped oxycodone 2 days ago though I think i rather deal with the pain and not get hooked on percocets

I'm on day 2. Still on crutches. No drugs besides the aspirin to prevent clots. Hope you are recovering well

Pre-op rehab is very important for a quick turnaround.

I used the oxycodone to help with sleep the first 3 nights. But I haven’t been taking them. And just living with the discomfort and pain. My whole leg is so dead. I can barely even move it. I feel EVERYTHING. every incision every bruise. Those 2 screws in my bones. And just pain all around. I’ve been struggling to find a comfortable sleeping position for my leg. Cuz it’s just locked out. I guess one good thing out of it it’s that it’s healing while being locked out. Until later we’ll have to deal with the regaining function to the leg. Also my other leg has gotten significantly weaker. Plus it’s hard to take a shit. Been taking stool softener. But when I really needed to poop. Couldn’t get help to move to the bathroom like I did before and I couldn’t crap. Now I’m just waiting for the days to pass. Until first day of therapy.

Its hard for everyone! However, every surgery and rehab process is individual. Depending on many many, many factors. Keep doing what has to be done. You WILL get better. Im 100% today, and I hardly even think about my surgery. Its like a distant childhood memory. You'll get there too!

I'm 9 days post op can only just straighten my leg but the swelling above the knee stops it( I hope this is normal) I can only Ben to around 75 degrees maybe 80 but it's so painful! I want to remove the dressing but even then I don't know when I can. I'm worried this will take to long to recover :/
