ummm very bad training or new? no pain med? for shock? or class 2 medications?

Unstable PT, altered LOC, Hypotensive compromising cardiac output (with most narcotics, that’s a direct contraindication), and in a lethal rhythms. Pain meds aren’t the priority in this scenario, converting the rhythm that is potentially lethal to the PT is. Not “very bad training”, it’s a medic who prioritized PT treatment above PT comfort. A stable PT who doesn’t respond to medicinal therapy (Such as Stable SVT after adenosine has been administered) and requires Med Control approved SCV would absolutely deserve pain meds.
