He also talked about an op-Ed from a well “known person /celebrity” (as he referred) would help to have a wide/broad reach… is obviously & directly due to her relationship w/ JD. Because Amber Heard is a nobody and is only publicly known because of her name being tied to JD. Without JD, how would her role as an Ambassador be significant or beneficial to ACLU?

Even if Johnny loses this legal battle, he won the war. Amber Heard's career is long gone (I love her Q scores were so low BEFORE the trial). She will never be hired again. Heard is one of the most- despised people on the planet and worst of all, as Camille stated, "No one with the exception of her sister showed up to support her..." Not even her parents. Plus, every one of her witnesses were no longer in contact with her. Wow.

The ACLU had the nerve to sue Johnny Depp for $86,000 or their expenses related to documents for the trial.
@Yossearch
@Yossearch Жыл бұрын
Yep. A judge lowered the amount to somewhere @ $38,00. Johnny Depp is required to pay $38,00o to American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) over evidence used in case against Amber Heard after Manhattan judge reduces the original fee. The non profit organization had originally asked the Pirates of the Caribbean star for whooping sum of $86,000 in attorneys’ fees. The ACLU lawyer Stephanie Teplin argued that the sum was for "considerable expense spent responding to onerous subpoenas served by Mr. Depp from an underlying action in which neither the ACLU nor any of its employees are parties," as per a report by Law & Crime. "Exorbitant and unreasonable," Depp’s attorney Jessica Meyers dubbed the original demand of the non- profit organization that helped Heard draft and publish the infamous op-ed in The Washington post. "They [ACLU] were responsible for drafting and placing the op-ed that the Virginia jury just found to be defamatory to Mr. Depp," Meyers added. However, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron decreased the payable amount to half of that originally asked after the actor’s lawyer filed a motion.

Another AH screw up. As she refused to prove she paid the charities (of course she knew there was no full paiment), JD's team had to ask UCLA. And not only UCLA proved she kept the money, but that the op-ed was about him.

What is the big discussion? Heard made it sound like she had passed on the $7mil settlement. She gave an impression that she would never see a dime of that money, that she had magnanimously donated *all* of it to charity. She did this to enhance her image as a philanthropist and women’s advocate-which she clearly is not. And she did it to counter the impression that she was a gold-digger-which she clearly is. why are we always trying to re-define the term “lying”? Isn’t it enough to know that she was intentionally and knowingly dishonest?

Perjury: in the United States, the general statute under federal law, classifies perjury as a felony, and provides for a prison sentence of up to five years. When you claim you will donate 7 million “over 10 years” you are NOT “donating your settlement to charity”. What you are doing is promising to donate 7 million from the PROCEEDS you Will derive from that 7 million over 10 years. 7 Million invested in the stock market would DOUBLE in 8 years. In 10 it would total 17 million. You get to “give” your 7 million, evade taxation because its charitable, and KEEP 10 million free and clear. Of course, you can always just let the 10 years go by and count on the fact that no one will remember you made the pledge.

Its so laughable to see that these bunch of crooks think that they can con Johnny into giving them money inspite of them teaming up with his ex-wife Amber in writing, printing and publishing fabricated and defamatory material in the public press. For this, Johnny's lawyers need to immediately file a counter motion against the ACLU for libel and defamation and fine them 20 million dollars. It is the moral duty of all related witnesses to fully cooperate with every investigation once the matter is submitted in court and any witness can be given a subpoena to mandatorily attend court or to give an online testimony and if they don't cooperate with the law, they can even be held liable and be seen as aiding the perpetrator.

We had never received donations from another person "in honor of" a live person or "or on behalf of". This donation should have been marked as "on behalf of" NOT "in honor of". And in addition the thank you letter would be always sent to the actual donor....the one that wrote the check as they are the ones that are submitting this donation to the IRS not on the person it's on behalf of. Would the IRS allow Amber Heard to count this donation with her tax submission?. That's an interesting note to find out. Did she submit this tax deduction or Elon Musk?

This, seems to me, is why AH is involved with ACLU… so she would (supposedly) never be suspected of such a thing. I think, also, that giving the portion of the donation (that she did) was to assert herself as an ambassador so she’d feel important and praised… and still, all the while, seem like a victim who was standing up for all DV survivors. She was just leading true victims to her pasture, the whole time grinning and being the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Devil in disguise.

If anything, in a tangential way, this whole trial in the United States could even be damaging to the UK court system where Depp lost that case unfairly.

The great he has done for the industry over the last three decades cannot and should not be tarnished for the rest of his life. Real justice would be seeing her behind bars, but the second best justice would be to give him back his livelihood (minus the controlled drug dependency, though.) Although I wouldn't give Disney an inch after dropping him in less than 2 days based on Amber's op-ed, the biggest middle finger would be to see him back in Pirates Of The Caribbean 6 and Amber dropped entirely from Aquaman 2 (or at least re-shot with a different actress/cancelled.) I know Johnny said he would never continue acting now all the dirty laundry is out, but I fully believe he deep down would love to see a Pirates set again.

@@MuiKaHo omg I have read this comment a zillion times - “this is a civil lawsuit’ I’m talking about after this civil case. Sweet Jesus. The state can watch a video of you and decide to come get you and charge you. A criminal case could be put against her and I’d love to see it. We can protest for men’s rights and changing the way the courts work and punishment for false reporting. They never enforce the law properly, so they should change it. Many people false report and it’s a felony offence in USA but who actually gets in trouble for it? The whole system is rotten so I am not holding my breath for anything. I don’t know what the judge or jurors will do, I can just know what I feel would be right.

Terence testified that Amber was not forced to write the oped about Johnny Depp, it was totally up to her. They just encouraged her and also helped her write it. Just for encouraging her to write it will stop me from ever giving them a penny. In the long run it was Ambers final decision to go ahead with it.

No one should ever donate to them until they confess to their wrong doings and apologise to the victim of their campaign. And a lesson for everyone, believe the victim by all means but make sure you know both sides of the struggle and use your brain. See their past, look at their friends and family that will give you an indication of what kind of a person the victim is. Always keep an open mind.

Johnny knew her crazy narcissistic self would do exactly what she did and expose all the lies herself. He always knew his truth would prevail which is why I’m so happy it was televised. The way the media is still trying to downplay her sadistic sick toxic behavior. The jury saw it for themselves just like anyone else watching the trial. And the audacity Elaine has thinking we are some kind of ignorant fools out here.

If Amber violated her non-disclosure agreement and Johnny lost work because of it, she could be on the hook for the money Johnny would have gotten from the films he would have starred in. If she is found guilty of defamation in this trial, proving she violated the non-disclosure agreement will be pretty straight forward. Will she be smart enough to settle tho?
