I love this. Watch the way the Zac doesn't take his eyes off JT while James is singing Zac's song. Can you imagine that feeling? It's like...Wow, I'm standingnhere on stage with Mr. James Friggin Taylor and he's playing acoustic guitar on my song and singing the words I wrote.... At the end, Zac looks like a kid at Christimas who just got that shiny new bike that he had always dreamed about. Goosebumps and a standing "O". Very very cool. Thanks for posting this.

My husband and I have been lucky enough to be able to take our 3 sons to see JT in concert. He has the ability to make a whole venue feel as though we were in his livingroom chatting. I sang them to sleep with "Sweet Baby James" for years. Over the last year or so I have found myself becoming a big Zac Brown Band fan. I look forward to seeing them when they come to the Philadelphia area. Thanks for the wonderful post.

Not only do I admire Zac for his song, but also for his authentic, no ego reaction to James singing it. A lot of guys would either consider themselves too "cool" to react or they would display a fake show of humbleness. Zac is basically sharing a stage with one of his greatest influences and a standard-bearer of modern American music. His response is appropriate, if not restrained. Were it me (and I'm a musician), I'd be in fetal position, weeping like a child. This is a wonderful moment.

I grew up in the era of "Sweet Baby James" and always liked this song. just a few years ago, and over 40 years after he recorded that song I had the chance to go see him in concert. What a great night that was. When he started to play "Sweet Baby James" I got chills and before he was through the first verse my eyes welled up with tears. Here I was, sitting not 30 feet from him listening to him sing and I was that teenager again, just for a little while.

Zac Brown is a VERY humble man!! I worked in a bar in Oklahoma City when he was big on the Red Dirt scene and he was genuine!! You can tell this was a very special thing for him!!! He couldn't hep but belt it out there at the end!!! SO cool and can't think of anyone more deserving!!!
