They are doing you a favor, by exposing weakness of the lock they are putting pressure on the company to release new better versions of their locks. @@sn1kzZe Yet at the same time, compromising the security of the millions of people that have bought these products to protect their property. Thanks for watching. ✌
@eworman423 жыл бұрын
@@sn1kzZe Sure, I don't disagree with you that this would put pressure on lock producers. However, the security of future locks doesn't change current locks being compromised. It would be onerous to have to search constantly to see if someone put a guide up about the specific locks guarding your home or possessions so you know if they've been compromised and need replacing. I mean, am I going to have to constantly switch out my locks each time someone posts a video on how to crack it? They are expensive, and if companies have to constantly be changing designs and fortifying them more, they certainly won't be getting any cheaper. The only people winning in this situation are the companies selling more, criminals, and lockpick youtubers getting more subs... not folks like you and I.
@sn1kzZe3 жыл бұрын
@@eworman42 you paint the picture like its an endless loop. Yes, every lock can be picked, but if you keep watching all the lock pick youtubers, you'll notice there's just a golden standard minimum that makes a valid lock, and notice how all their videos keep repeating about the same defeat mechanic just diff category (shimming, raking, jiggling), once you secure all categories in the lock, it's still can be bypassed but the chances are very slim even the youtubers say that. so the idea is to pressure the manufactures to make the lock just good enough, not to be unpickable because that will be a trully endless loop.
