The only reason this show is called The Acolyte is because The Apprentice was already taken LOL. It's no deeper than that, guys. So they have the "Sith" guy use that term instead of apprentice in his dialog, but there's no larger meaning to it. Mae/Osha is the confused and conflicted acolyte/apprentice stand-in for Headland. Qimir is Weinstein, seemingly harmless (though well-connected) to the public at large, but secretly sending Mae/Headland on his tasks until she stops and tells him she is done. This is Headland working out her therapy about all of that. Perhaps sometimes she felt like Osha, and sometimes she was Mae. I just wish it was better written and made.

It’s called The Acolyte because that’s what the sith call their pupils. In SWTOR if you play as the sith you literally start off as an acolyte before you become an apprentice to a master. Qimir is likely trying to train an acolyte to become his apprentice and help him defeat his own master.

What is with these progressive women always putting stand ins of themselves into media (Kk= Rey, Headland = Mae/Osha, Sana Amanet= Ms Marvel). It’s like they are so desperate for the world at large to adore them; they have to inject their personal stories and hang ups as some sort of therapy.

Some of the games (KOTOR, Outcast) also had cortosis, (**spoilers**) I think there were ninja droids made with the stuff. Lorn was talking about the comic appearances too, not just those novels.

Just came from EFAP's latest, where they ripped apart John Campea's word vomit on The Crapolyte e4, namely the Ki-Adi Mundi concerns of his age and species lifespan and his single movie quote. This episode throws John's defences - or rather his dismissal of this being a valid criticism of the episode - into the sun.

Just a question, WDW Pro. You said that you laughed through this episode. You were having fun. Are you suggesting that Leslye Headland is bringing fun back to Disney? Could this fun spread through the parks and bring unspeakable joy to people waiting in artificial lines, eating overpriced snacks, or milling about without anything to do? Is this how Disney is going to reverse its fortunes? What a stunning and brave plan! Who else but Kennedy and Headland could have imagined this? We might call this the "Pronouns, Lesbians, and Laughter" literary strategy. How many new subscriptions to Disney Plus will we now see signing up?

In the book, I, Jedi Koran Horn is making a lightsaber. He is explaining how the force is used to condition the parts, when the saber is made. It seems weird that another force user can affect another force user's saber.

SWT explained the thing with the lightsabers. It's called Cortosis and is a very obscure Star Wars Legends thing. Problem remains, if you are not knowledgeable of the Legend books and comics you may think it's stupid.

To be fair about the sabers the master did step into the hits with his helmet and wristguards the times he shorted them out. So the cortosis thing is possible. If you take that into account then the saber battle was atleast better than what we got with Ahsoka. I can’t justify anything else in the dumpster fire, if imma hate it i have be fair while i do. Lol

For people that love exposition. I am looking at reactions. Show is still not great but everyone is focusing on lightsabers cutting off. In legends there was a Kortosis Armor. Should have had some one comment for that.
