My husband heard your voice and knew I was watching your video. (He does this every time he hears your voice but it’s actually appropriate when you are having green beans for dinner) He hollers, “GREEN BEANS BECKY! Don’t forget the green beans!!” He remembers, I think it was last year when you were doing a shopping video and you said I hope I remembered everything…it was one of those lost list days at Costco. You hadn’t gotten the green beans that was on your list and I was yelling that same phrase as if you could hear me. Now he does it all the time. He is a closet foodie and loves watching your videos with me. Thank YOU for being you. We love ya!

My prepping trick for feeding just two people - I cook big batches of rice or pasta then freeze microwavable bowls with two servings. A different day I'll chop a bunch of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and put those in microwavable bowls in the fridge. At dinner time I just rinse and nuke a veg and carb and cook a meat or meat leftover.

Made your Artisan bread today. I did everything wrong in this recipe, had a thick, dry skin form on top of loaf from sitting for so many hours with just a thin dishcloth over it, added a bunch of extra flour because I had to knead it then to try and recover the texture and mix in all the dry lumps, missed the parchment paper step and it stuck to the rising bowl, so I let it rise again. It still turned out fabulous! How is that even possible?!!

Frugal tip for you…. instead of buying individual servings of yogurt like Becky used in this video, make your own yogurt. Homemade yogurt freezes beautifully both plain and seasoned with compote! Step it up just a notch by freezing in individual serving size to eat or use in recipes. No cute individual sized containers? Measure it into cheap sandwich bags and put several bags inside a nice freezer bag. Future starters can be frozen in snack sized baggies too. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL BECKY!

Those dinners look fantastic! I really want to try that yogurt sauce too. Don't limit your meal prep dinners to just 1 crockpot and 1 Instapot and 1 sheet pan, either... you can prep and ziplock 4 or 5 sheet pan dinners, and just get out the pan (or crock or Instapot) that night you cook. And, of course, freeze the (freezer)ziplock, and pull out that meal the night before (or morning of), for longer-term storage.

Becky, if you buy crock pot liner bags, you can put all the ingredients in that for easier storage in the fridge...and then it still goes straight into the CP. I know that's a plastic you don't normally use (or want to) but when you are tight on fridge space, that might make the difference.

This was such a great demonstration of how to make the most of time in the kitchen. Thank you, Becky! I'm definitely a "what do I have that I can make dinner with tonight" cook but I'd like to be more organized. You've helped me start thinking of dinner prep differently. I appreciate it!!

If you carve around the stem of a bell pepper ( like making the lid on a Halloween pumpkin) you can pull the top off and it pulls the whole center and all the seeds out together in one piece.

Just a word of caution crockpot liners can Crack going from cold to heat like that . I would hate for you to lose your good food if something like that were to happen. Best to put it in a bowl and transfer to crock before cooking .

You must have a large refrigerator to put those inserts in, my fridge wouldn’t hold that. I guess I could do bowls.

Hi Becky. I'm from ILLINOIS Yesterday was February 27th. It was 75 degrees all day until about 6:00 pm. Then the storm rolled in. Thunder, lightning and so much rain!! Then the temperature fell to 20 degrees with winds blowing at 45 mph. It's COLD again. And we got a little bit of snow. So we had 2 seasons in 12 hours. So I'm jealous that you have that beautiful weather.

I would love it if you put your favorite homecanned recipes on your scratch pantry website! Things like your spegetti and enchiladas sauce. New to canning and its so overwhelming trying to find safe recipes that actually taste amazing.

These are some great meals and plans for batch cooking! Looking forward to trying them out. BTW, marinate is a verb, marinade is the noun. So when you’re talking about making a concoction to soak an ingredient in, you’re referencing a marinade. Love your channel!

My mother, an English teacher, would say to me, if you put “to” in front it’s a verb if you put “the or an” in front it’s a noun. Heaven help us if we forgot that verbs are qualified by adverbs. Not run quick but quickly. LOL 😂 I shudder every time someone leaves the “ly” off an adverb.🦘🇦🇺
