You are absolutely right, though Investing in alternate income streams should be the top priority for everyone right now. especially given the global economic crisis we are currently experiencing. stocks, gold, silver, and virtual currencies are still attractive investments at the moment.

I stopped hosting holiday dinners about 8 years ago. Everyone came to my house because I had the biggest house and dining room. Which was fine. Except I bought all the food, cooked all the food, did all the dishes, and cleaned up the mess. While working a full time job. And they took home all the leftovers. Even though every one of them had almost double my income. Got to be too much. And I honestly don't miss it a bit. So I watch you and your family doing things the way they should be done with sharing, caring, fun and a lot of love.

Thanksgiving leftovers - I won a cooking contest in our local newspaoer with a Thanksgiving frittata: shredded turkey, stuffing, extra sautéed onions, celery & carrots, add beaten eggs to combine. Cook in hot oiled skillet till golden on bottom, then turn out into a plate and slip back into pan to crisp other side. Served with left over hot gravy.

51:00 you talk about eating out vs cooking. I am a passionate cook and home baker and over the last couple of years I found that the prices in the restaurants go way up and the quality is worse and worse. my very favorite way to use thanksgiving leftovers in making a leftover casserole, the one key ingredient that isn’t leftovers is a can of corn. top the potatoes & turkey & corn in a 9x13 & top with stuffing & a whole lot of shredded cheese, toss it in the oven & it’s so so good. serve each plate with your leftover gravy

Our families (on both sides), each person picks 1, 2or 3 things that they want to make & bring. That way, no 1 person is tasked with the entire meal. Then we divy up the leftovers between us all so there’s less waste. Also, we take turns hosting holiday meals. And we all chip in to clean up before we leave. ❤ If we didn’t do it this way, nobody would volunteer to host ever again. Our families are huge. Lol😅

I Love Becky’s channel! Becky, I love your family’s dynamic! The love, kindness and support that you show each other is so wonderful to see! I’m 68 years old, I’ve been cooking for fifty years and I’m implementing tips from Becky! Monday night while cooking dinner I needed to chop onions anyway and I had three humongous onions so I decided to take a few minutes and chop up the onions and put them in freezer bags a la Becky! I felt so proud of myself!😀 It’s just a reminder to do these things that I know to do and be efficient! I’ve downsized thirteen years ago and I wish now that I had a larger refrigerator and freezer chest because I would be so out of control with making freezer meals!!!😊❤❤ From Houston, Texas!

Fabulous video! One tip for making gravy ahead of time: if you can get turkey parts at your local grocery store, ANY time of the year, buy them! It's usually legs and/or thighs. Stick them in the freezer. Roast as needed, and viola, the beginnings of gravy for Thanksgiving...or anytime!

I love this! I hope y'all do this more often. Cilantro doesn't so much taste like soap to me but more like the spray we used when I was working in pest control. Work in pest control long enough and eventually you're going to manage to get some fumes or aerosols from it in your mouth. That's what cilantro tastes like for me, and I'm really pissed about it. It's apparently really delicious and I'm seriously missing out. I miss my mom terribly and while our relationship wasn't much like yours and your mom's, it was just as loving. She was my best friend, and seeing you two having such a close relationship makes me very happy!
