A handy tip --- anothe way of dissolving the sugar crystals on the side of the pot is to put the lid of the pot for a moment and allow the steam to condense on the lid and trickle down the sides. Works every time for me. Hope someone finds this useful.

I love how this page has turned into a community of sorts for all of us. I've been cooking for 5 decades and I learn something new every time I watch Becky at work. Not only do I learn from her, but from the many comments from viewers like me. Something as simple as a type of bundt pan that works better is great information. So...thanks all! Have a great day.

When I was taking Wilton classes at my craft store ,our instructor gave us her recipe to keep our cakes from sticking.Back in the 80's . one cup liquid neutral oil, 1 cup solid oil (crisco), and 1 cup of all-purpose flour keep in a wide mouth jar .Brush on cake pan with parchment paper. Worked great and cheap to make

Here’s a different idea for greasing your Bundt pan. Grease it with spray or solid put about 1/3 cup sugar in the pan and roll it around to coat the inside of your pan and then put your cake batter in it. It’s so nice to have your cake covered with sugar instead of flour. I’ve used this idea for years and it’s always worked for me. ❤

Hi Becky, Enjoy your sharing so much. I have one suggestion as one who had a great rep as a baker. When using flour in cakes ,I would suggest a one time sift followed by spooning of flour into measuring cup then leveling with a straight edge. A one time sift unless recipe calls for more than one sifting .smiles keep up the great work. From a 73 year old mom and gran who lives a wonderful life in spite of MS. Best wishes, Norma

Hi Becky, thank you for your awesome videos and inspiration. To keep my cakes from sticking I combine equal amounts of avocado oil, flour and organic palm oil ( sustainable ), mix it well and keep it in a mason jar. Becky, I saw a lady making a pie crust, she dumped it from the bawl onto the wrap and used the ends to push it together, When done, just wrapped it around the crust. that way you preserve the moisture, bring less heat from your hands to the crust and make less mess. Immediately thought of you:)))

One way to get bundt cakes out is to lightly spray with olive or avacado oil and sprinkle in some sugar. Roll it around and shake out the remainde. Pat your pan a few times over the sink to get out all excess sugar. It works every time. Great for banana bread or anything similar.

These look soooo good! A trick for caramel: put a little water with your sugar (that helps dissolve the sugar) and a little glucose or corn syrup (to prevent crystallization of the sugar) then stir a bit. Now put your pan on the heat and, most important: NEVER-EVER stir. Let the sugar-water bubble and swirl you pan once in a while but NEVER use a spatula or a whisk. Once you have the desired colour (lighter = sweeter, darker = more bitter), add you cream (with a spatula or a whisk). Fool proof and stress free!

Becky, I learned this trick on how to get baked goods out of a Bundt pan…every time. I learned it from Erin Andrews, the sportscaster, when she did a cooking demonstration on the Hallmark Morning variety show several years ago. That show is long gone. First, barely melt some butter. You want to heat it just enough that it melts. Then take a pastry brush (not one with plastic bristles, but real bristles). Paint your Bundt pan very carefully with butter. Go in every nook and cranny of your pan until it’s completely covered. Your pan is usually pretty cold and the butter solidifies which is what you want. Don’t let the butter pool in the bottom of the pan. No drops. A good paint job is necessary. Then shake flour on the pan as usual, but don’t use regular flour. Use Wondra flour. It’s the flour that’s ground up finer than regular flour and on the grocery aisle where the regular flour is, usually on the top shelf in a round blue can shaped like a Pringle’s can. I’ve done this for years (I’m 75). Your cake slides out like a greased pig and works every time. I have some very intricate Bundt pans and people always wonder how I do it.

Bunt pans are one thing I’m always careful about cleaning, especially if you have any decorative ones with a bunch of design crevices. I really like the Nordicware bunt cleaning brush, but if you don’t have one I have also used the oxo brush trio set with the straw brush, detail brush, and bottle brush. That detail brush is so useful! Also, as a gluten free human I’ve had to make my own versions of these release sprays and they’re very easy to make at home!

Those look delicious! I just want to give you my 2 cents about the bunt cake glaze, I would reduce the apple cider juice and add a, teaspoon of burbon! Half a cup of burbon it is over powering but a touch of it will give it the right touch, you could make half of the portion of the bunt cake into cupcakes and in part of te syrup(glaze) put a bit of burbon and try it out on a couple of cup cakes! I am going to dowload the recipes right now! Thank you Becky! Blessings!
